I was testing this build out for survibility. There's so little chance for me to test out builds now in large-scale PvP since a majority of the game is capped content, and RBF is unreliable because of innate passive DR/HP increases based on winning and losing. You can check out my build specs in Discord.
Indeed, this was the second node war that I did on this spec so I did not find anything about the pet's HP being changed so drastically. It's quite suck for awaken users since you would have to constantly summoning out your pet in PvP now.
Just FYI this video is before the DR rework! But to answer your question, succession mages are still very viable on a large-scale PvP since you won't notice much difference in anything except for blizzard. The hit reduction on blizzard is very noticeable since it used to have a tick on every single hit, now if others evade 1 or even 2, your DPS will be significantly decreased. Mages still feel great if you have sufficient ability power to kill people. However, though, there are still classes that will outperform mages out there like succession and awaken maegu, so it's best if you pick on the class that'll suit your interest the most. You can check out my recent uncapped siege on Valencia and check them for yourself.
It's kinda is on the negative side yeah. Like this system's working great in T1 because there are a lot of guilds, but in T2+, there are just so much less guilds that can compete with so that's why it just not as good.
dom usually you hit someone with a second cc after you put them on the ground before doing damage. I know you've been playing wizard for at least 4 years and the brain rot may have gotten to you, but you need to remember.
@@unsaiddreadgames6007 Very good observation! Although I think you might have missed out a singular fact that I casted bolide immediately afterward but got knock out of it as you can see the cooldown went off.
@@domomn0m I am sorry dominus_omnimius, but that was not the incident I was referring to in the video. I was calling you bad because the first thing you did was instead of running towards the pings, you ran away from them. Secondly, rather than spamming skills like a good wizard, you stood still for a whole second. The original incident I was referring to occurs before 48:15.
@@unsaiddreadgames6007 If we are rewatching the fight at 52:16 correctly and judging by the feed of course; I am pretty sure I arrived, as well as, were on the pings at just the right time before any fighting started. But I will also give you the benefit of the doubt of not analyzing the callouts and scenario accurately, so I'll break it down for you piece by piece if you don't mind. Before the fight happened, let's not forget that there was also calls that "Statistic is in the castle" and "there's 2 minutes left". I hook back around to check if they have drop down or not to let my guild know, because the entire strategy was for us to hod and defend the fort from people throwing their bodies on it before the timer runs out. But if by doing so to you is me being bad, then I guess you would have done something different that's more efficient? Furthermore, for the fight before 48:15. I was strictly casting down at the hwatcha since that was the objective but I got cc'ed from behind and having to burnt my emergency escape. So to resumed the fight with 65% HP left against a full health target is already quite a difficult task, especially in mirror matchup. But even then, I almost made it through before another enemy show up to help them out. Granted, if I were able to use my E buff or 100% ultimate there, I would have able to kill them for yours truly and make everyone happy right?
Haha, tier 3 is actually decent for mages. Other cappeds? Not so much. I already know we were losing this one anyway, so I didn't really want to pop any consumable, and I also played horribly since chat wanted no coms in a desert war.
have you try awakening? I played succession 2-3 years ago, and come back to try awakening recently, considering should I change back succession now LOL
Yes, I am still playing Awaken! Matter of fact, I play both specs and very often alternate in between for both PvP and PvE. To answer your question, it would depend on which aspect you want to do with the class. For PvE? I recommend Awaken since it's one of the best grinders in the game at the moment in terms of damage and is super comfy to play with. For PvP? It would heavily rely on your personal preference, as you can do more damage and be a melee to medium range class with Awaken, or choose to have a bit more mobility and play ranging from afar on Succession.
@@domomn0m Wow, really appreciate that you reply to me seriously XDDDD I am feeling good to play in awakening now but yea, I still wanna try more long range damage, let me try while keep watching your video LOL
@@forevercxmp1578 Yes, awaken wizard's damage is very good in capped PvP due to its high burst abilities in a single combo; it's even higher than the succession spec by far.
thx for quick response, i have the same CPU but i run it with a 3060 12gb i get around 70-90 remastered at grinding, u seem to be at 2k resolution? im asking cuz i wanna play smoothly and i can't get it even when i open the world map i get a stutter and a fps drop :/ and u seem to be ok even with full ball would you mind share ur spects? since it's not optimized im considering re-do it all over @@domomn0m
It's a mixed of both for sure. Succession mage is a great class that could fill both roles of a DPS and support utility depending on your play style. Their ranged capabilities are up there on top of the scale, but there are classes like Ranger, Archer, and Awaken Zerker that would easily out-trade them and be better in terms of consistent DPS. But in return, your heals, speed spell, and protected area make you an excellent class to provide buffs and assistance to others in PvP.
I used every skill there in our capability at the time, aside from full heal and swift earthquake. I did mana shield but that only makes you temporily takes less damage at the cost of your mana, but also used protected area too so that could be one of the factor to the tankiness. We supposedly, on sheet, have 1 down smash on succession mage, and it's bolide of destruction. However, that skill been bugged since succession released and still no fix yet until this day, so the down smash does not work. You can try running the down smash addons for your abilities if you would like to play with the probability of sometimes able to down smash people in PvP during a combo.
Thanks for the compliment! You can learn how to change your font in game here: blackdesert.pearlabyss.com/ASIA/en-us/Forum/ForumTopic/Detail?_topicNo=46306 This is the current font am using: www.dafont.com/caviar-dreams.font
Hey bud, do you by any chance grind on your succ wizard and also if starting as a new player would you advice to start as DR? I only ask as I see you have EV on
Yes, every mage in the game should be DR. I only run evasion because I sometimes call for my plat/party, so I want to be semi-tanky to initiate for plays.
Dude you are dealing tons of dmg... is because of wiz op or just because u carring 330 ap? xDD I want to play a mage but i dont know which is better, wiz or witch succ
Thanks for the compliment! I was also wearing the wrong offhand for half of the war there too. But at the moment, witch is better than wizard due to their passive ability that able to pocket skills as they please; while wizard cannot do that.
