Great comparison - no need to trade my stomp, a good comp or boost in front and it feels great to me.

Have both (kemper stage). I Much prefer the Tonex captures I made rather than kemper ones, they feel a lot better. But kemper library is unbeatable right now

With mild distortion, it makes zero difference sound-wise at all. With a clean setting, maple's brighter, and rosewood's warmer. Jimi Hendrix played both, but, his classic white Strat had a maple fingerboard; not sure if that means anything but, it was his main/favourite guitar, so read into that what you will! I guess the best compromise if you can only have one, is an unlaquered maple fretboard; the best of both worlds. Great comparison - liked and subscribed; thanks for uploading.

As a bedroom player I do have too many guitars: Fender USA strat, Gibson tribute, PRS SE, Yamaha 612, Ibanez SG, two cheap LP-style guitars and a Squier. All my guitars are second hand except the Squier, my first E-guitar. I never spend more than 500 bucks (F and G) or less. For me playability is the only thing that matters, tone isn't important to me. My boss Gt 100 offers so many options, but usually I just use one, besides I do have some pedals. I just like playing and my 3 guitars I like the most (playability and tone) are only 3: the tribute, the Yamaha and the Squier. Maybe it is the correct set-up on these or the humbuckers on Squier (mod) and Yamaha. Besides I have got used to the Squier as it is my first guitar. My Fender has old strings, a bad saddle and action is too high, but I am too lazy (living in Greece - too hot) to do some work as I do have 3 perfect guitars.

Although there are some good points on here, by far the most important thing for worshipping guitarists is to understand that it is not a gig!!!!!!!!!!! Your purpose is solely to try to help people to worship God.
@TheGuitarFam

I’m using the word gig here to refer to anything where you have to show up with material learned. Guitarists are notorious for showing up without having things learned and that can be pretty distracting.

Thanks for the video. I just got that Ibanez last week and I am very pleased with it. Mine is the olive green version, looks and sounds amazing. But I do agree, the pickups on your Eppy are better. I might upgrade my pickups! Thanks again. : )

Steve was waaay so ahead of his time... In 1978, when this song was released, you only hear Jimmy Page or Hendrix clones, doing all these boomer Pentatonic style of lead playing... and Steve paved the way for tasty shredding with cleverly placed notes and soaring bends and vibratos... I would put Steve as one of the greatest top 5 Rock guitar players ever, all these technical kids today got nothing when compared to Steve's playing

Dual amps don’t really matter to me. To just record in the studio, fractal wins big time. Fm3 has alot of tweak options that hx stomp can’t offer.

Keep the HM! I just bought one used, and plan to swap out the single coils for Texas specials.my choice for neck and middle. You can always drop in your favorite pickups. But imo, the Strat is everything a Stratocaster should be for a super strat!

Only 5 9? The average height in the USA is 5 9. So this is not short. Its average. And some people may not like being considered short, when the nations average height is 5 9.. Just saying.. I ma 5 9. Not short... Average. The guitars are fab. Playing is cool , for an average dude :)

I have both these units and tbh the FM3 edges it a little on tone, but it's such a pain in the ass to use if you need to make a quick adjustment on the fly, and I personally find that unless I'm using it a lot I forget how stuff works, even in the editor. Line 6 have had Fractal beaten soundly in that area for years as far as I'm concerned and therefore I pretty much use the HX for most things, with an IR and again tbh, if you know what you're doing with these things the differences are pretty tiny

The HX Stomp is awesome, and I still love it. However, I just sold my HX Stomp to put the money towards and FM3 which I've owned for over a month now. HX Stomp is amazing and so compact, but if you want more flexibility and more DSP, then the FM3 is the way to go if you have the extra money to spend. I'm a bass player, and both are great for bass. I love that the Stomp fit in my gig bag, but the FM3 required it's own carrying bag since it's like 4 times larger and about 6 times heavier. HX Stomp gives you up to 8 blocks, but FM3 can easily do 16+ depending on what blocks you are using (I've maxed it out at 12 using some high DSP blocks). Stomp is easier to use for sure, but if you are willing to learn the Fractal Audio interface, there are way more customizable options to really customize your sounds, especially if you want to apply the "modifiers" to the effect blocks which lets you do things like auto adjust the effect based on how hard you play (envelope) or the pitch of the notes you play (like when you play higher up on the neck). These modifiers are not even an option in the Stomp if you really want to use them.
