Idk HOW but it worked. I first used store bought poo remover but the spot was left in the clear coat. I parked in the sun, it’s 75 right now, and when I came back to the car. In 40 minutes the stain was gone from the clear coat. Unreal. Chemistry is a mystery!
I was just about to drop a couple hundred dollars on a battery operated polishing kit per the one video I just watched on correcting paint damaged by bird poop. This video came up next and I was so skeptical that I didn't bother to take before and after photos. My mistake. To my extreme surprise, after about 10-11 minutes on high heat from my hairdryer, I began to notice the etching disappear right before my eyes. It was almost completely gone with just the hairdryer, but I finished off the job with a little hand applied polishing compound and wax. It is completely gone now. I wish I had the photos to prove that this method actually works! Thank you for posting this!

Didn't work at least with my hair dryer..for me got the surface to 83°C at least four times and then let it cool & repeat 2020 Tesla model 3 Ocean Blu Pearl .. I believe heating up n letting it cool several times is the preferred method ? which I did... so it would have been helpful if you had measured the surface temp while you were doing the job so we can see what the temperatures get up too... So what is the safe maximum temperature the panels clear coat ?
Bro you saved me so much money and headaches. I was bummed because I didn’t know bird poop eats through the pain I just thought it dried up. Bought a brand new tesla model Y and it ate through the clear coat. My neighbor had a generator so we brought it outside and I used a hairdryer. Each stain was gone in about 30s-1m. Keep in mind I left the bird poop on there for probably 2 weeks without washing it off. Appreciate you brother!

That's not 206, it's actually 307. The rear number plate on this car is on the bumper, not on the boot lid like the 206. Go to 0:23 and see for yourself. I own 206 and my friend at the neighborhood owns 307. I had the same issue with the lights on on my 206. It was caused by faulty brake light switch. I bought the new one and after a few months, the issue returned. On that new one, I found a pin that gets pushed. I had to pull it for a few teeths for making it work again and I had no issues ever since.
Shaun Wallace is my favourite Chaser on the Chase. He's cool, he's so funny, he handles winning and losing graciously and I've watched him being interviewed and he comes across as very nice. I'd like to meet him and if I ever go on the Chase, I'd like to take him on. Win or lose, I reckon it'd be an interesting battle.
Heat guns can get up to 750 or 1000 degrees. I have an infrared thermometer that I bake/grill with and can use simultaneous with the heat gun to monitor the paint temperature. It would be nice to know about what temperature is required to fix bid stains, and at what point you'd be at risk of damaging your paint.
