Thank u for this. I'm a practicing witch and have been wanting to make my own broom but everything on other videos was so pricey. Awesome video with clear explanation and instructions. You got a subscriber for life!
How far down are you cutting with the exacto knife before you popcorn it with the Swiss Army Knife? And are you putting a slight angle on the exacto knife by intention?
@@SKAustin Ok, do you remember the font size and if there's a preferred size for this method? I've been trying to Exacto out some lettering that's 200 font. Hard to get the 45 degree angle. I can carve out the letters but it doesn't look smooth on the inside. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Woodland scenics grasses (turf). I used to do model miniatures and had a large amount of left over turf colors. I just mixed a few different colors and sprinkled it on.
So glad this video is still around. Super cool lanterns. Have kept olive jars, pickle jars and all kinds of glass jars because I knew someday somehow I'd find a way to use them. Can't wait to get started. If your still out there Mr. Austin, THANKS
You're most welcome. Best of luck with the project. And yes, we're still around, just haven't had much time for videos these past few years. Life kinda got in the way. I'm really hoping we can start adding new content soon.
I know. I've been rather absent as of late. so many different things in life pulling me in different directions, and distracting me. I've actually filmed a few different videos that have yet to hit the editing table. I'm really hoping to change that, but still playing catchup on a a few dozen other projects.
Great video! I followed your instruction! Turned out great! I had a walking stick out in the shed from years ago. Put some fake dollar tree spiders in the broom. Love it!
I know they are your tombstones, but the sprayed second coat(gray) kills the contrast of a black undercoat. A dryish roller or paintbrush will paint the surface and leave the black detail of the carved area. The black letters aren't there.
