How long until you found out if you was accepted to the apprenticeship?...I have completed the final part of the interview stage but that was many weeks ago and still no response.
I applied for the BBC Production Apprenticeship and got invited to complete the online application which I completed and then they invited me to complete an online assessment which I didnt expect, I completed them as best as I could but I still havent heard a response. :(
Hi, how are you? I have to do the 3rd stage of the BBC apprenticeship. Do you know all the questions? They say 2 video questions (one is: Explain why your background and experience would be a good fit for this job). Do you know the other 2: the written and multiple-choice, please?
I have a level 3 Btec in photography and digital imaging. Would you not recommend this apprentiship for someone like me? As ive hardly done any videography at all just all still imagery
I have a question for you, I got to the final 15 out of thousands but do you know how many people actually get taken on to the programme? I wasn’t successful on this occasion but I’m curious as to how it works if that makes sense. I do love your videos.
hey Euan, Did you just have your group assessment centre and interview? I think there are roughly 2 places per setting, or 100 places in total in the programme across all of the different settings. I've just had my 2:1 interview and assessment centre too in a group of 40 people, for I estimate 4 jobs. Well done on getting so far, I've got my fingers crossed but I'll have to see what they decide, there were lots of brilliant candidates and I was the first interviewee so I can't really imagine what they'll decide.
are your lips back to normal now? what did you find most effective? I've had swollen, tight, red and tingling lips for three years now and I have tried absolutely everything, yet they're still the same. they're not that badly affected appearance wise but it still bothers me - just the tingling and tighntness that bothers me the most!
Thank you so much for this!! Has made me feel so much more relaxed about it I’m very nervous haha as I’m not the best speaker, will try me best and be myself and hopefully it goes okay x
@@enksy-iw8jo it wasn’t the best ngl haha, and yeah had to do it all in one go, on the page with the questions you had a countdown of 2 mins to prepare before it just started filming you and only got 3 tries😳 My first question went okay but the second I was using all the retries so only had 1 chance to get it right and I messed up quite a lot, didn’t even get to watch it back it all just automatically submitted😭
@@nataliehughes8598 Aww I’m sure you did much better than you felt you did! It’s a really nerve racking thing to do so give yourself more credit and be proud of yourself! Thanks for replying and all the best!
This helps so much!!!! I applied for the Production Fast Track Apprenticeship. Since I want to become a video editor!! And because I love BBC!! I passed the first stage of the application process and I have to do a video interview and I only have 7 or 6 days to do it. I was wondering is there a way to check the questions without doing the interview? So I could prepare my questions
Hey, glad you found the video helpful. When I did mine all those years ago there was no time limit to record you answer once you saw the question and you could save your progress and return later. Good luck!
Hello I saw your video when you spoke about your swollen lip ,would you mind telling me if you found a diagnosis and how you are .my son is struggling with the same symptoms .thankyou so much
Hi 👋 Thank you for your videos, they've been really useful to watch I applied for the Production Fast Track and got through to the last stage - got my interview tomorrow - fingers crossed!
Cant believe i commented on this vid a year ago but i have been invited to a virtual assessment centre, the final stage!! i’m so nervous and i don’t know what to expect since i also lack creating ideas from fresh, is there any advice specifically for this part?
I was the exact same I didn’t believe I had new ideas but I was able to come up with a rough idea but then what made me stand out was I found a way to combine the groups individual ideas into one fully formed idea Just be you and enjoy the experience and you can’t go wrong! Good luck!
@@James_Hancock13 Thank you! i’ve also been knocked back abit in confidence since i’m doing interviews for the digital editorial portfolio team? i’ve done research and do enjoy this, since i love video creation and editing, but does this department also give you the opportunity to work practically on tv sets, since this is initially what i hoped for, thanks x
If it’s the Production scheme you applied for it will that’s what I did. A lot had changed since I did it but the fundamentals of being on “placement” remains the same I believe
Hey James :) I got through to the final stage of the application process. A zoom interview, group assessment where we have to pitch 3 ideas for a radio show. Did you go through this process ? If so, do you have any tips for me ? Im currently just brainstorming and thinking of ideas to pitch. We have 5 minites to pitch 3 ideas. My plan is to be as vivacious as I can be, clear and concise and actively listen to the group. Do you have any advice for me ? :) any would be appreciated. I truly want to get into the apprenticeship. X
Honestly you sound like you’ve got it all figured out! Just be you and be confident in what your pitching even if you don’t actually believe in the idea your job is to show them you do and it’s the best thing ever! Good luck!
They usually open around Marcy time but do keep checking them and sign up to the emails on the website because I know since I did it that they do different types for different lengths
@@James_Hancock13 I got an interview! Watching this video makes me all smiley when you say you got the apprenticeship I’m like ahh so happy for you I know it was a while back but I just feel your excitement through the screen ah!
This is really a great story to hear, I’m in my last year of college and everyone is applying for universities but I’ve come to the realisation that the education system doesn’t work for me. It’s likely that I have adhd and autism and I just struggle to pick up things in a school environment (for heck sake I’m 18 years old and still only know my 2 & 5 times tables when my peers can do them up to 12) I want to leave education behind me so I’m leaving this year and probably taking a gap while I get just a regular job so I can learn to drive and in my spare time set up a RU-vid channel and just let media become a special interest again. Then I want to apply for apprenticeships hopefully the more hands on experience will be a better way for me to learn.
I felt something similar too, I got bored being talked to constantly because it would never go in. On the apprenticeship there is still lessons similar to college but they make up a small fraction of the year and by far are worth the vast experience you get! Good luck with your application
Hey quick question how long does it take for bbc to let you know if you got through or not? As I'm currently in uni and considering dropping out if I reach further enough
If you’re already a commutable distance then don’t worry with moving. So if you’re already in London stay there but if your like me and Lincolnshire then moving was my best option
What are the results today? You're lucky its your bottom one because my OFG is in my top lip, which has permenantly split in the middle and it has really messed with my mental health, I hate to be seen in public because all people do is stare at it
Hi William! Sorry you’re having to go through this! It’s awful I know! Definitely speak with your doctor and see how they can manage the symptoms. I’ve had my first flare up in many years recently I found antihistamine it over the counter hayfever medication helps the immediate swelling but if it persists definitely get to the doctor!
@@jackblovett6284 did another interview but didnt get through to assessment , I was already in the mist of uni at this point they didnt get back to me till november
Thanks so much for your videos they have been so helpful and insightful. I have applied for the fast track apprenticeship scheme and have made it through to the video interview questions :) so exciting!
Thank you for this great info. Quick question- is it still possible to see the questions close the interview and come back later after preparing for the questions?
