Thanks for the video I watched it and figured out how to put the box together about 20 minuets later I finished and picked up the box the packs came in to see folding instructions where printed on the bottom lol
Nice video, man! Wore out 2-3 copies of this game on my old PS2 and I still have all my old parks and skaters from 2004 until this day.. I played a new run of this a few days ago.
dude, i like your energy! so much hype. also why did u stop making videos about mtg or any other topic, get back to it. i just wanted to tell you i liked them pretty much all. hope youre ok
Vince! Appreciate your comment, man. Really means a lot! Yeah, it’s been a challenging year. haha. I had a bunch planned and actually shot a few videos, but my work has been super stressed so it’s been all hands on deck all year. My free time has been virtually non existant. Good news is I have a bunch of stuff “in the can” so I can start releasing new videos in January again at a regular pace. Catching up on editing now. Shooting for a video a week. Hope to see you around!
Couldn’t wrap my head around this game until I watched this video. Probably says more about me but it’s true nevertheless. Great explanations. Solid top down play through demo.
as much as i love the potions, i went with the bulk 5d6 blade set because it adds diversity to the set. having 6 potion d6s is nice, but i like the diversity of 1d6 potion for single d6 rolls and then the 5d6 (bloody) sword set for bulk rolls since it feels more fitting. plus, the more simple design of the sword d6s actually makes them pair nicely with regular dice, meaning you can add them to your regular dice sets and it works great.
So basically these are dice that are hard to read and take ages to spin and give a result. Not really that useful for D&D, might be okay as markers to track numbers.
Haha. Fair enough... I don't play D&D (I intend to) so randomization isn't the biggest deal here for me. I will say I didn't have a hard time reading these as the contrast is there, but the font choice could have been more readable for sure.
I have 50 sleeved basics of each color. I usually run 6 man pods and I have't had any issues. Here's a photo of the final setup... twitter.com/YoungCorpseTV/status/1072739434251018240
I bought the Zap Kitty cardamajigs and they're totally transparent so I can't use them unless I have the cards all facing inward, defeating the purpose of a random draft pack. This is the message Cardamajig sent me: "The transparency of the Zap Kitty Cubeamajigs aren't considered a defect. We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with them! Though we don't generally process returns, if you have 25 unassembled Cubeamajigs of this design, we can arrange this. This process requires you to ship the 25 unassembled Cubeamajigs back to us at your expense, using a tracked shipping option. Once we receive the product to our warehouse and the fulfillment team confirms they're in good condition, we can process a refund for the cost of the product. Unfortunately we're unable to accept Cubeamajigs that have already been assembled. Let us know if you'd like to proceed with the return process!" So they want me to spend my money on the most expensive shipping option so they can potentially deny me a partial refund (since you pay for shipping when you first buy them). Not to mention I had to open them to discover this clear defect so I can't use this "return process" anyway. I will not be doing business with this company again.
This is definitely a little while back, but it doesn't seem to much work to turn around a single card in a pack or put in a piece of something to cover the one side. That being said, if it wasn't what you thought it would be, that stinks, but now you know and can ask questions in the future. None of them seem to be transparent now and I can't find the Zap Kitty design your mentioned before. You can check out Dragon Shield's cube shells, but Tolarian Community College didn't get them good ratings due to them not properly holding cards in their own double sleeves.
@@YoungCorpseTV How many does it fit? Im eventually trying to go up to a full 540 cube... got the same case as you, Im havin' doubts it will hold it all
@@andrewbiando648 It fits 26 Cubeamajig packs in the bottom row and three packs in the top row along with the 50 sleeved basic lands of each color. You could squeeze a 27th pack into the bottom but I prefer them a little loose.
@@YoungCorpseTV Nice. I might end up with 26 and 4 on top for 450 cube... and just because Id like the look of even. though if there's a lot of wiggle room on the bottom I might do 27... again for the look of it lol
I came here looking at your d20 Lock & Pick. It looked like from your video the number wasnt always clear. Looked like it landed in the middle more then once. Is that the case?
Haha. Apparently I was using it wrong in my example. You're supposed to keep your finger over the keyhole, spin the lock pick a few times, and then push the pick down. As you lift your finger off of the keyhole, the number is revealed. It's a bit finicky but it works ok. It's more of a conversation piece than a practical everyday randomizer.
Have to say, still loving it. It definitely paid for itself. My one critique is that after a few months I upgraded to the screw/rubber peg solution. Just felt better. The wood pegs were totally playable, but after some time they had a few “dead" spots. A disc would hit them kind of stop/lose momentum instead of bouncing off. Still the best Crokinole board for the money IMO. The board itself is very well built. And the screw upgrade was only a few bucks. Thanks for checking this out!
Damn I enjoyed the hell out of this video, hope you make more of these. I only played the THUG games on PSP so I don't think it even had a create a park mode. Fun games though, weird how this whole genre just kinda died.
Thanks Efren! I’m going to mix these into the regular workflow for sure. Too much fun. Absolutely loved THUG Remix on Vita, such a great port. Even tho it didn’t have the create a park stuff it felt just as good as the console version and had a bunch of sweet exclusives. Wish I still had it. ha. I think Activision just got greedy and the new game every year “madden” schedule killed all excitement and innovation. That being said, I’m extremely hyped for the new remake. Looks like a return to form.
Yeah those dice do not look like the pics at all. Im checking out the black/gold ones though on their site it would look really cool with my teysa deck..
I am completely pleased with my Mayday board from the Summer 2019 Kickstarter. That does not mean it is perfect but it is well worth the money I paid and the enjoyment I get from it. My board is at my office where we have either one on one or team games every day at lunch, and occasionally after work is done. I then put it in the very nice carrying bag I bought from Mayday to bring it home for games over the weekend. It gets used CONSTANTLY and everybody enjoys it. I have played on higher end boards and there is a difference. The Mayday does have some minor surface grooves which one might not even notice if you were unable to compare it to a craftsman made, hand varnished and sanded board. It also cost only $129 delivered vs $280 and up. The Mayday board is made in China which comes with the drawback of suspect quality. You may get a great board in which case you will be completely satisfied. You may also get a clunker which they shoved out the door. That is the nature of Chinese manufacturing and is especially true with Kickstarters. Should you get a clunker you will have to address it with Mayday who will work with you to resolve it. As long as they do that you cannot fault them. They are offering a low price board which works great using Chinese production. That comes with an accepted risk which buyers must beware of and Mayday works to cover when something goes wrong. All that said, I LOVE MY BOARD. I highly recommend you do a couple things: 1. Wax the board. Use a nice coating of 100% Carnuba wax, let it film over, then buff it with a microfiber cloth. Do Not use anything with a cleaner in it. You will notice much smoother play. 2. Wax the discs. Same method. 3. Glue the pegs in. 4. Cut small lengths of rubber tube and slide them over the pegs. You will be amazed at the improved play. All tournaments you see online use rubber tubes over the posts.
So to update…. I kind of went down a Crokinole rabbit hole. In 2020 I got a custom made WoodenYouKnow board with custom image and colors. It hangs in my office and I will say you notice the difference between the mass produced Chinese Mayday board and the custom WoodenYouKnow board. The WoodenYouKnow is faster and more consistent as the surface does not have the minor laminate imperfections of the Mayday. Then after being spoiled at the office I got a Tracey board which while not as customized and beautiful as the WoodenYouKnow it is faster than any other board I have seen and consistent. I have another WoodenYouKnow with a custom image on order for my sister as a wedding present as the image matches their invitations and rings done in the Japanese Kinstugi style. The Mayday was upgraded with screws and rubber and well worth it. It is a loaner now and no, I do not regret getting it. It is great fun at a good price point to enter at for someone casual about it. You WILL notice the quality difference against handmade boards but it is nothing which should interfere with simple friendly fun.
I used the dividers that came with the Kaladesh Gift Box. They’re the same size as most card dividers I’ve seen but the white profile and matching art works perfect for me.
I use Card Kingdom “buy it now” prices during the time of filming/editing. My thought process is the people most likely to watch these pack openings are players first, so they would likely want to purchase a card opened on camera opposed to selling the exact one. I could be wrong tho.
It's the Supreme Game Chest from Dex Protection. Highly recommended. I've carried it around for a few cube seshes since and it's still holding up nicely. I went ahead and put a link in the video description.
