First of all, thanks for the interesting video! I want to use this headset in a planetarium. This is a dome with 2 projectors and ventilation. On the other hand, I also want to use it in an auditorium for a larger audience. Now I don't know which one to choose. Omni or directional. Omni retains the timbre of the voice and the directional does not or less. However, I don't know what is best. There is not much background noise unless that projector is at a greater distance from me. At first I would have chosen the directional but since the timbre of the voice is somewhat less, I have doubts. Can you give me some advice?
There's a slight RF interference at 7.05 min when you turn around, It's not a drop out but it ruins the audio if the person is talking, even though these bowties are an amazing performance for their cost
Hi, yes you can choose to have program feed on either channel A or B or both. Program audio level can be adjusted -18db to +18 db. Overall volume can be adjusted on each listening headset. Specific volume of program feed could also be adjusted at output from program source. You can give us a call on 01789 777040 or email us at sales@raycom.co.uk if you have any more questions.
Yes you can, you can add remote headsets up to 8 but there can only be 1 master. You can give us a call on 01789 777040 or email us at sales@raycom.co.uk for more information.
There are some cheaper chargers on Ebay, but we couldn't say how safe they are to use with your MTP61's. There is also an 8-way charger made by Wrinex, which is £375 + VAT. Hope this helps!
Hi David, unfortunately not. You will need to put your MCR54 into ENR mode. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to give us a call or drop us an email.
Hey, you would record directly to your PC. If there is any issues with the wireless recording ,and you had record selected on your transmitters, you can also cable these directly to your PC and again transfer directly to the PCs drive. Save the transferred files in the format of your choice if you wish to save them on portable media.
Hi there, all the information you need in finding the correct size Windbubble for your mics can be found here: www.raycom.co.uk/product/bubblebee-windbubble-lav-size-4-2/
I'm amazed at the range you're getting in this test. I have the A10 transmitters and I've always been disappointed with the range of them. I'm lucky if I get 100 yards line of sight before they start dropping out. Have you ever done a range test with the A10?
Hi Ian - thank you! Are you using a similar set up shown in the video? We haven't done one with the A10 but the product is now discontinued unfortunately. Have you seen our Walk Test of the Deity Theos?
The USB-C Input provides regulated 12V into your system from wall power. This is useful for when you are stationed in one place for a while and don’t want to use batteries. Note that your USB-C power supply supports the 12V USB-C power standard and supplies enough watts. It is suggested to use a USB-C laptop-style power supply with the SPD-1.

Hi there, the 2017 has got a maximum SPL 145dB, so you might be able to got away with this, but you might want to consider using a Lav Mic like the DPA 4062 which has an SPL of 154dB. Hope this helps!
Hi there, the LFA does require power which the MRK16 will do. You can also do this with a Bias Tee as well most antenna distribution amplifiers. Hope this helps!
I’ve been considering a flagpole option where I would mount two Betso bowties about 7 feet in the air. Would it be OK for me to place one about 8 inches directly above the other on the pole? Or is it important that they be spaced horizontally from each other rather than vertically?
@@RaycomTV Hi, thank you for getting back to me, pity but who know maybe there will be a future product which can do that. I'm a data nerd, and like to know how cells progress over time. Edit, XTAR VP4 Dragon apparently saves data, but only to device so there's that. Cheers!
I love your walk tests. Thank you! Did you have the Betso omni antennas oriented sideways (not pointing toward the tx) for the entire walk test? I noticed in the Deity test you pointed them toward the tx. My understanding is that the polar pattern is more sensitive when pointing towards the tx. Do you feel that it makes a difference, especially outside where you're not getting wave reflections from surfaces?
Thanks for the comment, we love doing these too! The Betsos should be omni like a dipole, that is a doughnut shaped polar pattern flat all around the antenna when mounted vertically so the difference you mention shouldn't make a significant difference.
Where is the TX located on Mandy's body? Is it in the back - with direct line of sight - or is it in the front of Mandy, with his body blocking antena path? Also, it would be interesting to see a test where Mandy would walk all the way out of rf range, no sound at all, and then play Theos Tx recording sincd, , as the idea is that tx recording is a backup for any rf problems. Finally, as it is remote controled system, with Sidus app, it would be very nice if you could check Sidus app remote control range, which in Theos case maybe even more important than RF range. Finally, I see that here there is a different positioning of bow ties antenas in the bag, here they're pointed at talent, and o Wisycom MTP61 walk test they are pointed one to each side. How much a difference it makes? Thanks for the test!
I own this kit, works great, lots of options and I use it with my Zoom H6. The charging cable is designed for the two mic system. They should upgrade the kit so that all 5 devices can be charged. Not a major problem though. Nice presentation
Hi there, it depends on what base, which recorder and which input are being used. But it is more than likely TA5 to 2x 3 Pin XLR and two of these would be required. Hope this helps!
Thanks Viviana for more great tools to help us soundos get better sound. True words that “ there is never any time on set”. Camera always seems to be king. Sometimes i can/do push back. Especially if there is no budget for post. 80% of my business are repeat clients. Best wishes fellow soundos.
We got this from the man himself, Rich "hot sauce mouthwash" Watts: "So, all of our mics are designed, tested and specced to work at 95º humidity and from -45ºC to +45ºC, so this is all well within the operating range. We have case studies on our website of people using the mics outside in the arctic circle, and then going in to a hut/refuge and keeping them working. The 2017 would be no different. We recently had some 4660’s go across the arctic for 3 weeks working non stop, video to come out at some point, and the main comment was “they almost sound too good, we’ll have to make them sound sh**tier”
@@RaycomTV Sounds great! I've broken a Ntg-3 and current warranty replacement might be broken as well actually :D Will have to test it out when the deep freeze comes here in Finnish Lapland.
The MTH410 is the newer model which replaced the MTH400. The main difference is that it has 'Linear Mode' which allows more channels in a given amount of spectrum as the need for an intermod plan is obviated.
We need a in depth review and testing.. Interveiw - sports - and so on... How does it compare to NTG 3.. the 416? Schoeps CMIT 5?? does it make sense to have all of them for different situatuations?
