Wah ur ears power can hear Jay Chou 😝 I play that song for climbing motivation. Climb from Salmon run all the way up to Kiaraberg need some motivation. Can, I’ll give 4K a go, but this weekend I’m riding dinding. So probably one more weekend. 😬
@6:00 we cleared the uprooted tree at Boulder around 10:30 AM (6/7/2024). The cut log was then hauled to the entrance of Boulder to form a makeshift bench. Sorry that I couldn’t do the whole Bunian run with you guys as the second half of the trail would be too sketchy for me with about 3kg of stuff on my left handlebar 😅 Thanks as always for the nice vid :)
Oh nice bro! U need a pretty big saw for that man! Haha I’ll give that bench a sit next time haha nice following you down Bunian for a bit, that Marin with Lyrik looks awesome 🤩
@@SeanTalksMTBwe used a Bahco 396-HP folding saw (19 cm / 7.5”) which is essentially the same saw as the Laplander model (23 cm / 9”) but for the horticulture market, fits just nice in my Osprey Savu 5 lumbar pack. With proper technique, possible to saw off even larger diameter trees with this solely, biggest yet was at Pure Quill (just before the exit shared with TNT). Got a Silky Big Boy 2000 otw for bigger jobs and trail days :) The Samurai FC-240-LH (24 cm / 9.5”) is also a very well reviewed folding saw (beating the smaller Silky models) if you are looking to add one to your MTB arsenal!
My dream bike.... Still saving for it ..... Btw, This stock configuration ? I saw in website it comes only in blue bar indicator for comp alloy but yours comes with mastermind TCU 🤔
@@brianoh4605 hello. Yea this is the stock configuration. In Malaysia, the Gen3 Levo Comp Alloy comes with the Mastermind TCU which is a super good deal. In other markets it still comes with the older blue bar TCU. So we’re quite fortunate here. 😄
@@SeanTalksMTB Thanks for the reply and update .... Just double confirm again with their malaysia website .... Seems they updated on the description but not picture (still show old blue bar indicator)
Yea bro! Come give them a try some time. The trail system here is huge and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them. They’re mostly natural trails, so conditions might change from time to time 😃
@@mtdtechh yea bro there is. You can search for Faction Bikeworks at a place called Wisma WIM. there are ample parking space on the weekends. It’s guarded, so very safe and it’s RM 5 per entry on the weekends.
Thank you my friend! Are you the one I met in the video? Haha I’m sure the conditions are nice now right after the race. Definitely will go again. Lovely trails. I won’t quit till I conquer Salma 🫣
Hello bro, what bell is that? It's plays continuously, i suppose it's electronic? There are so many hikers and the bell is a huge saver! Btw, nice video.
@@SeanTalksMTB I was at Kiara last Saturday, hoping to bump into you haha... I am from SG. We have young and skillful Sean from Faction Bike as our guide.
The one in the middle is my Garmin bike computer. For my HR and stuff. The other one is the Insta360 GPS remote that I’m testing for the X4. I usually just have the bike computer in the middle 😄
@@SeanTalksMTB pretty sweet setup for the garmin. My bike computer looks so big that seems like a freaking TV. All that only to see my wats or cadence. I regret not getting that sleek garmin even though it’s insanely expensive
Yea I like the smaller ones and it’s one of the best investments so far. I connect it to my axs to see my gearing. Connect my HR from my Apple Watch and speed cadence on my ebike. All my info on the screen.
This is also possible with Apple Watch and Garmin devices (through Stats dashboard and available in the app only for now) besides the GPS remote - many XC type MTB channels do this, it would be a nice touch to see your heart rate data when you climb Salmon Run/Upper Short@Lookout 🤣 The data overlay feature is discussed in the China Cycling channel
Thank you! I think most chest protectors are warm especially in Malaysia weather, but something with good ventilation is important. My friend uses the Fox Raceframe Roost which I think is one of the lightest and most ventilated chest protector. The one you see in this video is the Raceframe Impact D3O which will be very warm at the back because of the D3O padding.
@25:06 I think I see myself 😊 Stoked to see you clean Wasteland access @11:38, my riding buddies you said hello to @25:09 were responsible for patching that part - always awesome to ride through without dabbing. This is the camera review I was waiting for, X4 doesn’t seem to do well enough in low light (eg typical day in tropical rainforest under tree cover) as with all other current gen action cams. Was this recorded in 8K? Btw, wrong bike in title 😅
Haha thanks for spotting the mistake! I didn’t see you though. And thank you so much for patching up that slope. It was getting really rutted previously. The X4 performed really well, but thanks to our dark forest, I’m surprised that the footage still turned out pretty good. Most people can’t imagine how dark it gets inside until they really see it. The action cam does a good job hiding the fact that it’s almost pitch black 🤣
@@SeanTalksMTBno worries man, I was sitting on the rock resting when I heard you guys bombing down and had to move my ass 😅 I didn’t see you too and only realised that you were riding the same day when I spotted the Fakawi Banshee jersey at the end of IUD DH
@@SeanTalksMTBI have seen some RU-vidrs like VanCan mount the X4 on their helmet (like a unicorn’s horn where you can see the shadow thereof @4:55 of his X4 review) which makes for a very interesting POV imho. Seems like the DJI Osmo Action 4 is still the one to beat for MTB in low light conditions
Next time I bring you for a longer ride Bro. You missed the trail head at London bridge. At least another 5km ride with a jump line with big drop and few gaps. But beware of racket tails birds attack
Thanks for the comparison. Why the videos look so grany? My S23 ultra records 10 times better… was it the way you uploaded them in youtube? Or is the acepro that bad? I was thinking to get it to avoid taking my phone for mtb but know Im very concerned…
Good comparison and review and great riding! If PureVideo mode had horizon lock, I’d consider trying it and likely switch from GoPro. That is one important requirement for me that’s missing but the low light stabilization is amazing.
