I have noticed that gift of life marrow registry hasn’t arranged more than 3 sets of donors and recipients meeting for the first time at one of the events. Probably because they have other honors to award or something
I recently found out that the recipient’s family’ s instagram personal blog that this donor and recipient meeting was actually shorty before this recipient’s 8th grade promotion.
Thanks for donating man. I have SAA and received a transplant. Just past my 100 milestone. I won't be considered in remission until 2 yeats post transplant. My son was my donor so its a real personal ordeal.
What a fantastic cause! a lot of staff members at the same sleep away camp that I go to joined the gift of life marrow registry. I might be a vip guest at a gift of life marrow registry event if Any of those staff members that I know very well got selected as a perfect match for a searching patient.
