On the contrary let's not forget that the UK has always invested in foreign human resources in terms of education, it's not likely that this interest changes overnight, so it should feel a little more safe if you are an individual working in a scientific or business sector. Not a word from any of the students about the way that the European Union has treated Greece , and how the economic straitjacket of the Euro has caused Greeks' incomes to fall and Greece's unemployment to rise. Note that some of them said there were expecting to get jobs in Britain after graduating. Which indicates that they have got out of Greece .... but no word said against the EU for causing the problems in their own country. Rather revealing. Greeks who work or study in Britain are middle-class and English-speaking. The feeling against immigration is because of the large influx of East Europeans who look for and take low-paid jobs and put pressure on accommodation, health services and in some areas schools. No British voters ever had any objection to middle-class educated people from Western and Southern Europe coming to study and work here.
