This could be caused by a few things… check in the following order. -You might be at TDC on the exhaust stroke instead of the compression stroke - Check the engine case/ cam sprocket markings are aligned perfectly - Your valve timing (cam chain/ cam chain tensioning) might be off - Your valve clearance may be significantly off.
250cc Clearances are different. Intake: 0.05mm-0.1mm Exhaust: 0.08mm-0.13 All other processes seem the same. manualslib.com/manual/2327177/Yamaha-Ybr250-2007.html?page=64#manual
The downpipes/ headers might be slightly different. The CP1 is a 51mm slip on. Contact Lextek directly and they should be able to confirm compatibility.
@@konraduk6228 thanks so much mate i just ordered the lxr se picking it up on sunday and wanted my first upgrade to be exhaust again thanks very much mate
It’s the Lextek tapered baffle designed specifically for this silencer. It’s secured between the silencer and the end of the downpipe. No fiddly bolts that can come undone.
It passed with an advisory on the "Noisy Exhaust". Lextek always seem to be out of stock of the baffles, but it does tone it down by about 5-7db. Ask your mechanic to take a listen prior, they'll be able to tell you whether it will pass prior. If they say no, then move on to the next one.
Yeah man, neighbour noticed it was quieter straight away. The idle volume is reduced by about 7db and the high revving volume is reduced by about 5db. Still loud enough for people to hear you when you're filtering in traffic, which is what I do a lot of with Deliveroo/ Uber Eats. Cheers!
Hey there, I haven't tested it on GPS unfortunately no. Since I took the old exhaust off and replaced it with the Lextek CP1 system I've gotten it up to 60 on the speedo, but it's much more comfortable cruising at around 50 - 55mph. I'll post up a top speed video.
Hi doomdog 308, As far as I'm aware, the process will be the same with carb models and after a quick google search it seems the clearance specifications are the same as well. 0.08 - 0.12mm Intake 0.1 - 0.14mm Exhaust Hope it helps!
