I'm 18 years old and have a rare genetic condition called Bardet-Biedl Syndrome.
I have created this channel to discuss growing up with a disability, specifically visual impairment. The aim of this channel is to help people understand my condition, raise awareness for Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, and inspire those with a disability to still achieve their goals.
I upload one video every week and I hope you enjoy it!
Wow, sounds amazing. Especially looking forward to finding out about your trip to Berlin - I absolutely loved my holiday there, it was great. ♥ Briony from FONC
Life is an adventure EMS and it's great to hear that you're really getting stuck in to yours! Cant wait to hear about all the exciting stuff you'll get up to in the next couple if years. Im sure you'll have a fantastic time and make the most of this wonderful opportunity. Love you loads! Xx
❤ I hope everything goes well Emmy, by the way - which song did you sing at the karaoke night? I also like learning about the Tudors, I think the story of Anne of Cleves is very interesting. Best wishes from Briony
Love this video Em. Sounds like a great workshop, and no doubt some excellent ideas for useful tools and gadgets for VIPs. I like the idea of microchips in shoes to help with obstacles such as lamp posts. Sounds like something quite feasible to achieve which would be a great help. Although probably not cheap to produce such technology... a worthwhile exercise though, as the best people to come up with ideas are the people who need them.
An interesting and varied video this one Ems. Demonstrating the challenges you've faced growing up as a VIP, and a little insight into the adventure you are about to embark on. You are an inspiration and whilst there will no doubt be many challenges for you, I have every confidence that you will face them with the same enthusiasm and determination that you have always done, achieving everything youve wanted to so far. I'm very proud of you and cannot wait to hear more about all the fantastic and exciting things you will experience in the next couple of years... xx
Awesome Em! Sounds like a really worthwhile experience. Not just for you but also for the year 7, 8 and 9 students. Sounds like it went well. Really well done! 👍 xx
I'm really excited for you Em. As you said, it's going to be an adventure. I'm sure there will be challenges but you'll meet everything head on like you usually do and I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time, and learn a lot of new stuff.
My eyes have recently started hurting a lot and the only thing that helps sometimes is to close them so my doctor recommended I get a guide cane for bad days, but I'm unsure of what height I should get.. I'm 5'2 and want to get something to help me walk around the city, I am heavily considering the ball tip that you recommended, but do you have any advice on the length?
Looks and sounds like you had a productive time. Will no doubt help you with your own channel huh? Good to share ideas and learn from other influencers.
Another excellent video Em! Really great exposure to your channels. And another fantastic example of the great things you're doing with your life. Well done! Xx
Awesome video Em! Looks like you had a fantastic time, with some excellent photos as well. You certainly are buzzing about the experience! Really glad you enjoyed it. Xx
Christmas gingerbread huh? Something else to try if there are any left! Glad they're soft enough that they dont need to dunk them in a cuppa tea! 😄😄 xx
Clicked on the 2nd link and thoroughly enjoyed listening to you Em. You came across fantastically. Backs of personality and oozing in confidence! Shame the interviewer got the name of your RU-vid channel wrong but excellent exposure nonetheless! Extremely proud uncle! Well done. Xx
