While I’ve never been an Ultraman fan I’m definitely checking this movie out. And here’s hoping that nobody sleeps on it, like The Magician’s Elephant (criminally underrated IMO)
the battle scenes look gorgeous from what the trailers show. I just hope it isnt like S7 and they're able to balance the spectacle with the dialogue/writing
Some of the reviews are saying that the opening episodes are very slow and others are saying they are full of suspense and surprising moments. How the fuck do they contradict so much? Are they watching different shows?
@@alysia_nevermore5860 completely agree. If it was battles all the time you would get bored very quickly. Battle scenes have got to be set up and earned to be able to appreciate them.
I can suggest a way to be able to read some…. How about reading the material from last season? Especially the Green Council (ep 9) given its stronger in the book. The end of that…..It literally stops at the same point the season ends. Except it’s not an angry Rhaenyra. It’s the dialog from Aegon“ I offered my sister, peace, and she denies it. What happens next is on her head.” And then George writes: what happens next is war. Cut to black. It’s so fucking good. 🎉
I watched other review and he was very negative about the changes and I understand that since he’s a book reader but just one question, is there anything that you've seen as a show only watcher that made you worried about the writing and stuff like that. I'm still gonna enjoy the show despite the changes but i just wondered if the negative review came from him being a fan of the books or is it something everyone can notice. It’s okay if you can’t say if it’s spoilers but i just wondered. I also know the books and i'm going into this expecting changes.
Shyamalan (and his daughter, probably) does certain things great. Mood, camera work, eerieness, and premise are their strengths. What they struggle with is wrapping up the premise without making it overly complicated. I was intrigued by the backstory of the Watchers until it was revealed. Then it got into a bunch if lore I coulent tollow and wasn't interested in. The "twist" is also overly complicated. I think Shyamalan tends to overthink things, and what is in his brain doesn't equal what comes out on screen. There are also some plot gaps that don't make any sense.
I saw it tonight. Everything looks good, the premise is good, and it does have an eery feel. That said, the backstory on the watchers and what they are wasn't interesting at all. And the character development is lacking. 6/10
One of the reviewers said it was a huge a disappointment and he’s a strong huge fan of song of ice and fire he said there a senseless changes that affect the story so don’t get your hopes up
so as the majority of people who are going to watch this series haven't read the book, for these people this season is already better than the first from what they are saying, now for those who are fans of the books this season is worse than the first, so it will depend on which side you are.
@@joaovitorignacio9392 there is a chance this season to be amazing Am just trying to say people need to be carful with the expectation The guy who critic who I watched is quite a fan of the show he rarely rants not saying I agree with every view he said but the way he prescribes it that even from the show perspective some of the decisions are complete bad and I really hope that he’s wrong because am really exited for this season
As pointed out, I have not read the book. So I do not have anything to compare to. I can see how those who have read it might be upset with any changes (I don't know about them) as that has happened to me before.
@@hassanbadrek2726 it’s honestly not bad for them to change stuff. Fire and blood can be contradictory and nonsensical at some points, it’s not the best ASOIAF work. For example blood and cheese. They can change that from an assassination to a kidnapping gone wrong. Yes it takes the blame from Daemon but it was a silly plot in the first place. You get one chance to assassinate someone before they bulk up on security and you kill a kid? Some fans would go nuts at this change just because it’s been changed but when you break it down it’s not that bad.
OMG his performance is incredible! 10/10, easily. There are some heavy things he goes through in the first few episodes and it was impossible not to feel for him. The actor did a great job!!
She is going through it.. as expected. I totally relate as a parent. It is hard not to go into yourself and pull away from loved ones after a loss like that. But she comes out of it stronger, for the most part.
YES. But you really shouldn't. It will not make as much of an impact. Also, why would you want to skip GoT? Besides the terrible final season, it's one of the greatest series of all time. And that's not an exaggeration.
@@CoryGasawayI definitely want to watch GOT, i just don’t have the time right now and want to get into a new weekly release show. If i like house of the dragon i will definitely check out GOT
@@jakevannorden7341 HotD comes before the GOT timeline so it’s completely okay. You might be a little confused about the locations at first but go for it.
@Mamasgeeky I chose to attend the premiere tonight. I have anticipated this since the trailer and being such a fan of Dakota Fanning's work. I am glad to hear you enjoyed it. I have been hearing mixed reactions. I go with your opinion among the other critics. When it comes to movies, I feel like you and I share the same view and experience. I look forward to comparing my thoughts.
Do not read the book. The book is based on historical inaccuracies and has several account of perspectives on what exactly happened. The book is more of a historical detailing. Let the show answer your queries and maybe later read the book. Just a suggestion.
@@louisamay9615 yeah the book is great, don't get me wrong. But it's not really an ASOIAF novel, more of a history book. So maybe wait to read it or maybe catch up with the events you have seen so far.
