I was a member of Impact Zone which got shut down after the owner passed. I’m looking for another range similar to that as far as freedom goes. Is this place like that?
I never made it out to Impact Zone but heard good things. From the pictures and testimonials I’ve seen I think it’s similar but couldn’t say for sure first hand.
This tight space is because it keeps people from shooting high as there are homes real close and you don't want a round to travel and kill a child playing in the neighborhood - I don't like shooting here because I worry about rounds going into neighborhoods -

There is no membership fee, the fee system currently (5/20/2020) is $10 per person and $10 per gun. For example, if you go to the range with 3 people and 3 guns, that would be $60.
Wasn’t it not just the change from stick to ball powder but also them forgoing the chrome lined bore and chamber to cut cost down for mass production? I really want a retro M16a1 ever since I was about 8 lol but it’s kinda hard to get the correct parts recently here in California
Hi Joseph. Yes Sir. Your absolutely right "Mac" forgoing the chrome along with the initial notion that the rifle didn't require standard maintenance like every other machine needs. I imagine it must be difficult to get an accurate build together where you are. Just wish In could've gotten an original colt lower without the fence but I'm grateful brownells is committed to keeping the heritage represented. Thanks for watching and for the comment brother. Sorry for the response being so late. The kit wasn't wet as I always leave it along with my backpack on shore until I'm stable in the water then grab it from the kayak. (Its not uncommon for me to swamp a couple times at launch.) Thanks for watching and best regards, Andrew
