Welcome to my corner of the internet. where I create story-driven videos as a n aspiring filmmaker.
I document life lessons and the beauty of my 40s, embracing a slower, intentional way of living. I focus on the simple joys - from nature's wonder to the love of my two pups - and share how I try to cultivate happiness rather than chase it.
I hope to inspire you to embrace who you authentically are, slow down and find meaning in the little things that make life beautiful. Help you heal from burnout and connect to your creativity.
I'm a behavioral researcher, who was burnt out too. After studying youtube for 1000 hours in 2024, I can say two things: women like you are needed in the male dominated space of RU-vid, and women of color, with a niche focus will build small but loyal audiences that will help build revenue that sustains you as because you sustain them. Keep going, you're not ahead of the trend anymore, your just in time! And keep the video authentic, don't worry about it being extra crispy.
I too am falling in love with the creativity and the challenge of creating visually pleasing videos, as well as my story telling. You've made me remember that I'm not doing just to upload videos, I'm doing this to develop my creativity too! Thank you 😍
Welcome! Thank you so much for checking out the channel. Yeah, some of the deer are not scared at all and you can get super close. Sometimes I do wonder if I need to be afraid of them tho!
This video has just motivated me to keep pushing because it's not easy when the views are not forth coming. Thank you for giving me the push I needed ❤
25-10-2024 GOD BLESS POWERFULY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!! WHEN FOR POSTING A VÍDEO NEW, BEFORE DISABLE THE OPTION " SUBSCRIBERS ONLY " ON YOUR PROFILE!!! MY FRIEND DID THIS AND INCREASED HIS CHANNEL ON MORE 2K VIEWS ONLY 1 VÍDEO !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤BRASIL 🥰 😍 🥰 😍 🥰 GOOD LUCK FOR YOU TOO MY FRIEND!!!
Some people have a passion for film making and you can clearly see you’re one of them. I also want to get better at it but am no where near as great as you are. I would love to hear about your Canera gear and stuff. Good job and continue doing what you love!!!
with the risk of sounding like everybody and their mom here on RU-vid: it's not about the gear. But since you asked I mainly film on a Sony A7CII and my second camera is the Sone A7III. I have a 20mm F1.8, a 35mm F1.4 and a 24-70mm F2.4 as lenses. I mainly shoot on the primes
So impressive. Keep going💯💯💪 you got this and your storytelling really has so much potential, I love this video haha and now I can’t wait to see more. Seems super relatable
@@LucindaLives How cool! I had one, too, a red one-the second-gen with the exhaust under the seat. Maybe time to get the Daytona into an edit. Get out riding. It clears the mind and adds a new perspective to your filmmaking.
Thank you so much for coming over and checking out the channel. I'm so happy to hear that you're going to start filming. Good luck and most importantly: have fun!
Yoooo... This was 🔥!! I only considered myself a "RU-vidr" after I hit 1K subs, and 4K watch hrs!! Once my channel was monetized, then I only said out loud that I'm a "RU-vidR" when before, I was just making videos!! Im a fan, and I'm gonna subscribe as soon as I comment!! Congratulations & good luck on your journey 💯🤗
Thank you!! I also didn't like to say that I'm a RU-vidr out loud, major imposter syndrome. But just now walking one of my pups I saw a neighbor and they asked me why I always walking around with a camera. I proudly said: I'm a RU-vidr!! Thank you for subbing 😁
A great and inspiring video! I actually been in the process of editing a video similar to yours only I’ve only just started my journey after a couple of false starts years ago. It was refreshing to see someone so transparent about their journey so far. I think you should give yourself credit and many more years of RU-vid. I will be looking forward to many more insights from your channel. Thanks!
H, Lucinda. I followed the link from Brian G., as I knew it would prove to be interesting. This video was enlightening and creative. I admire your passion and outlook on producing videos. The word “practice” truly describes the journey you and many creatives have chosen to improve our RU-vid skills. Mostly, I appreciate the joy in that you’ve “fallen in love“ with your practice and shooting your footage. Thanks for the inspiration. 👍😍
Brian send me over. 🙏 Thanks for the inspiring story, Lucinda, love it and definitely have been there too. I started singing, making music as well as making gameplay videos. A challenging but wonderful journey. You are doing an amazing job. 🐱🐱❤️❤️
My channel will have been going for 2 years in December, and you're doing better than me. So don't worry about it. It takes time. RU-vid is an oversaturated market (like all the others). In the early days I obsessed about the analytics. I don't worry about it anymore.
Thanks Claudia, I really appreciate your continued support. I really don't want to obsess over the analytics, and I tell myself all the time just don't look. But I want to respond to comments so that brings me to RU-vid studio and then i look anyways. But you are right, I should not worry about it...
This was so relatable. Birds, filmmaking, making RU-vid work, it ticked many boxes. 89 videos feel like a lot when I see other creators with fewer videos and subpar quality get favored by the audience - oh pardon me, I meant algorithm 😆 I remember you said you had a cash runway for trying this for two years. I've felt this pressure affect my creativity. Haven't you? I wish you all the best and success in your journey. 🥰
Hey Jim! I'm definitely feeling the pressure of already one year gone. So much so that I'm working on ways to extend my 2 years of trying on RU-vid to 3 years by cutting back on some stuff and being even more mindful of where I spend my money. Some days it does make me worried and that of course affects the creativity. But mostly I just try to set it aside and keep practicing.
