Why does every single video about gaming get SOMETHING wrong.... KOTOR came out when I was in high school, I graduated 04, therefore it did NOT come out in 2005 (which was the same year the Xbox 360 came out, ridiculous)!
Eu amo todas as canções dela. Está fazendo falta para nós Sinéad O'Connor.❤
I lived across the street from the Globe at the Corona fair as a child. I attended that World Fair in a stroller. We called Flushing Meadows park "The Worlds Fair" forever. I only learned it was actually called Flushing Meadows Park when I was an adult and had moved away.
Sinead shook the world! Her unimaginable sufferings she went through silently and yet able to cheer up the others around her with her beautifully crafted and meaningful lyrics, speaks volumes about her undeniable wisdom and sympathy for all human souls. Her living children and siblings as well as her ex-husbands/spouses should feel so blessed that they had her! May THE ALMIGHTY bless her and shower her with joy in eternity!
Sounds like you backhandedly blame corporations, when you actually look up the history of the world fair that’s all it’s always been, just not the legal entity of a corporation. Anyone who ends with “unfortunately the government still can’t fund it” and now blames corporations is taking the easy political route that a certain political party takes over and over. What was Edison doing with his company to sell the idea of the telephone monopoly goals or the typewriter to Tv Camers. In actuality, it’s rules and regulations that make things less fun. Back in 1900’s, anyone could bring their most wild invention and show it all, now you have to go through layers and layers of red tape to show your device. Is it UL Certified? Do you have insurance? You can’t let kids climb on that they might get hurt. The Statue of Liberty was partially funded by selling tickets to let kids climb on the display hand, thought of during the spur of the moment. You would need a team of lawyers and millions of dollars just to have a shot to show off something new that’s cool, that’s bigger than a few foot model on the table. People are always in awe of size, power and or innovation.
The 64 fair was the destination of Ken Kesey’s bus tour. That was the highlight! :^) Things kind of petered out for them after that. I remember much more of the 67 fair in Montreal.
Nobody cares about the 64-65 fair because New Yorkers cant have nice things. I mean they stole the whole concept of “the future” from the Seattle worlds fair just 2 years before in 1962. They couldnt even come up with an original idea they had to steal Seattles? Typical for New Yorkers to think like the USA revolves around them. After our fair everything is still there. We take pride, New Yorkers have no pride to them its just a fucken fair & it becomes a garbage dump. Like i said, new yorkers cant have nice things. What they do have is suspect, probably stolen. New York lost money on their fair because they just had one in 1939 & stole Seattles theme they lost millions. The Other more Popular Seattle worlds Fair made a fucken PROFIT. No other city has ever made a profit hosting a worlds fair before or since. Nobody. Today Seattle is home to half the worlds corporations worth a trillion dollars or more. California is TIED. There are no other trillion dollar. mega-corps on the planet all 4 are on the Pacific Coast. It took New York 300!years to building their city & its ugly, smells like pee and deisel, is filthy, garbage everywhere. Seattle has a homeless problem. Its bad. But thats it. Our Original name was New New York but… the old New York didn’t deserve it. We named ourself off the Indian Chief the Americans forced off his land. New York named itself off the city they swindled the name from. The east coast is old America & it aint pretty. The west coast is where your next civil war is going to be all about. Because… youre to dumb to see it but this civil war WE WILL WIN FREE CASCADIA & CALIFORNIA. New Yorkers have no clue what freedom is. They never lived it.
Good, bad or indifferent, Sinead O'Connor had the courage of her convictions in writing to Miley to tell her what the music business is really like for women. Sinead had died two days ago. I don't know if Miley will ever heed Sinead's advice.
I don't like the term mental Illness. I prefer to think of it as spiritual warfare, especially in the industry she was in! 😈👈 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places! Ephesians 6:12 KJV Bible 📖🙏 R.I.P sis🙏
I went to the fair in 1965 with my parents and sister, I was ten. I still remember much of it because it made quite an impression. Whenever we go to Disney I insist on going on the Carousel of Progress because it reminds me of the fair where I first saw it. We skipped It's a Small World at the fair because the line was too long. I think the Sinclair Oil dinosaur exhibit is the one I remember best, the Uniroyal pavilion was right next to it with a huge tire/Ferris Wheel. And I remember that the buildings with the big white balls on the roof were fast food restaurants.
It's a dated concept. Today, if you want to learn about another part of the world , you get on a plane and go there. It's really wasteful to build all of that for one year.
My 1st game system was the Atari 2600. I was born in 1987. As a child the Atari 2600 was the game system that my mother owned. So I played the Atari 2600 everyday. At my grandma's house, there was a original Nes, however it wasn't my system. I only played Nes when I visited my grandparents. Now I went from The Atari 2600 straight to The SNES Christmas of 1992.
Went two years 64 and 65. The Beatles were playing at Shea Staium the day I was there. Could see Shea stadium in the distance. Great time I remember the RCA exhibit had a long line. People were freaking since they could see themselves on live video or Tv as it was known then. GM, Ford stood out to the max. Different side exhibits too. Some were funky as the Africans? dressed in grass attire. Doing the Wautusi to the Land of a thousand dancers song. More of a carnival type exhibit among others. Fair was the best since I was a young kid.
It was never a torture device. That is rubbish, do your research. It was introduced to Bridewells principally as a means of reforming prisoners. Not only were they put to useful work, instead of languishing in their cells, but it "taught" them the rigours of work. Bridewells were correctional institutions for those who refused to work and relied on Poor Relief. Not pleasant, no, but not a torture device.
Blooming brilliant woman. Intelligent, ballsy, way ahead of her time back when she spoke out against injustices and crimes 30 years ago, and continues to, and a gorgeous singer/songwriter. She’s not crazy, …people just say that to try and discredit and muzzle her. Full respect for Sinead ✌🏼🙏🏽
@@wonderwoman5528Absolutely. It's sad for sure! Heartbreaking infact. I believe that many of us feel like we've lost a member of our own family when Sinéad passed away. She was a blessing to this World and will be missed terribly 😢
Born 81 and in terms of both gaming and the internet what astonishing things I’ve witnessed AND YES I had mega drive sonic on repeat 😂 PS totally get the guy with the waistcoat and glasses 😂😂
So what happened to The World's Fair? Why haven't we achieved a greater vision for the future since 1964? Where's the 2023 World's Fair if they're still going?
Energy costs may cut into the profit for sales in commercial growing for 1st world countries. May be a good idea for outspace or in a desert area that does not have much water
Smart and deeply traumatised woman. She was talking about the vampires of catholic church and showbiz and traumatised childhood in the 1990's ,MJ was talking about child traumas and vampires of showbiz in 1990's all of them were laughed called freaks in the media. In 2017 the media started to talk about its vampires...Im speechless.
