This probably would have been better bowl compared to bowl, plate compared to plate, vase compared to vase. Older Japanese export of course is much less common than Chinese, plus it varies quite a lot in quality and materials as well compared to Chinese as well, never quite as fine as Chinese but there are comparable examples, just never quite as fine. Stilt marks are always a big give away too, which are never on anything Chinese.
I found, what I believe to be a gravy boat tray and it has a crown and says international silver 675. It is rather tarnished but looks good for the wear. Fortunately paid $5 for it. Is it a solid piece?
I sould definitely haunt that place if I was a ghost! 👻💖 Incredibly beautiful palace, gives the feeling of timelessness. Thank you for the pictures and excellent choice of music.💕
Hello, I found a silver tray at a sale and it is stamped Germany on the back and has a crest in the center of the tray. It is huge and quite heavy. I have done the magnet test and the ice cube test. Both indicate it is silver. I haven't found any other markings but I don't have a magnifies glass. Any thoughts. Thanks for your help.
Hello from Australia :) I hope you don’t mind but I have sent you a message on Instagram wondering if you could help me identify something I purchased, I have done lots of googling but because it appears to be in Japanese I havnt been able to find anything about it :)? Have a wonderful day and thankyou for this video!
It is my adopted home. Living rather near, I am able to visit often- and for weeks at a time. Studying is my motivation. I do not partake in the spritz crowd . Torcello is a mystical favourite, as is San Michele. Giudecca is hypnotic, San Giacomo square in Santa Croce is medicine. Winter is the time to go .
