Hi. I am very new to this. I have a doubt. Doesn't it get wet with pre flats wrapped around all the way not just in the crotch area? pre folds in the packet/cover diaper is enough right? why the flats wrap all around the waist? Isn't it get wet all over the waist not just in crotch.
Initially it gets wet in the crotch area then slowly it spreads through out depending how long the diaper is used, flats and preflats are not waterproof so they are great diaperfree options, can use waterproof covers to make it a waterproof diapering system. Pockets and covers need enough absorbency, can use padfolded flats or half flats as an absorbent insert.
I have heard microfiber is good as a top layer for “flooders”. It is quick absorbing but low capacity. Ugh i have slept since yesterday (winning). I don’t remember where i learned that
That’s if it’s inserted into the diapers pocket, if not, microfiber should never be touching baby’s skin. It’s not safe at allllllll!! Microfiber is good at quickly absorbing liquid but doesn’t hold a lot and compression leaks tend to happen a lot with them. Fleece is a stay dry material and should be used against baby’s skin
If the diapers are stored in closed bucket the smell will be even stronger, it’s recommended to keep in open bucket and as there’s less space possibly let the diapers dry in air before wash, once they are dry the smell is very less vs being wet, can do wash daily to avoid storing for too long.
@@twobusybums I have a suggestion, recently i purchased flats fron your website and i have received it in good condition but there was no names written / attached with the flats, as i ordered around 4 items, I'm confused. I'm new to this cloth diapers and i have no idea how this fabric looks like. So kindly include names of the fabric too..
This is a great overview! We have started trying tshirt diapers and are surprised how absorbent they are. It’s our fourth baby to cloth diaper and the microfiber pads have gotten pretty beat up but I don’t want to spend money on all new ones. Thank you for the video!
