@@W3ND1G0it was sarcasm lol. His video has shown no example on how to fix the issue 🤣🤣 I ended up taking my car in to the dealership. It was a recall anyway for this model so they replaced every single latch for free 👍🏻
I went to get my a pop out of my passenger side. All I did was open the door and this happened to em. I do enjoy this car but the physical stuff ain’t worth shit. The struts went back quickly too. SMH
Unfortunately this happened on my 2016 and apparently not covered under recall for some reason. I had it repaired at a cost of $400. A year and a half later it just happened again.
Joel pull the outside latch open hold it then push the latch to lock or open position Now once you do that there’s two little circle one white one black it’s the child safety lock feature turn both of them to the right then shut the door. It will be locked keep it that way or get it fixed later
@@Rileyfamilychaos grab the outside latch door knob pull it outward hold it then use your other hand with a screw driver or finger to push the innner door latch

Got mine fixed for free by the dealership so what is the big deal this is why the dealership asks for your contact information so they can send you recall information and fix it free of charge SMH some peoples kids.
I faced the same problem no response from ford By the way I have changed the door latch three times for all doors around 2000 dollar which is Absolutely illogical #so bad service from ford
Wow i just realized how many views this got. To Answer the questions... Yes it's fixed. What happens is there is a plastic part within door that breaks. Take it to your dealership and they'll fix it. It's part of a recall.
This happened to me 2 yrs ago. I sent it in for the recall. Well now the recalled part the replaced it with is defective. The dealership wont repair it because your only allowed one recall fix for an item. Bunch of crooks
Much time has passed since you posted your comment. I hope you reported this to the NHTSA as an unresolved problem! My 2015 Fusion has this same problem, but it is NOT under the 2013-2014 recall! Ford has been building cars for over 100 YEARS! They can't make a door that stays shut?? This is a MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE.
Seems like ford recently just recalled the recall LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES Recall Date: June 8, 2020 Summary: Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion, 2015 Mustang, 2013-2015 Escape and C-Max, 2012-2015 Focus, 2014-2016 Transit Connect, 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ, and 2015 MKC vehicles. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired under recalls 15V-246, 16V-643 or 17V-210, however the repair may not have been completed properly. A component within the door latches may break making the doors difficult to latch and/or leading the driver or a passenger to believe a door is securely closed when, in fact, it is not.
