Hi @sabineshemp, the corridor version that we use in the video is Civil 3D 2024. If you are using the latest version of Civil 3D 2025, yes, the create corridor pop-up box is slightly different but the features to create corridor from alignment and profile are still the same. The Mac version has a slightly different Interface than a common version of AutoCAD but the Mac version should able to customize as well. You can refer to the link: www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-customize-the-User-Interface-in-AutoCAD-for-MAC.html
Hi, I just wanna ask a question or clarify something, i dont understand in 9:09 when you need to edit the noozle i didnt get the "press hold" so i can edit the noozle. i hope youll help me Thanks
Hello. A couple of questions, if I may? I come from a visual effects background, but due to a lack of work in that field here in the US, I stumbled onto a job at a company that bends pipes and produces other sorts of metal work. They periodically want something drawn up, either in Inventor or AutoCAD, so I've been learning both and producing visuals of their projects. I'm thoroughly unsatisfied and bored to tears, but it pays the bills. The owner also designs his own machines for producing different kinds of metal work. I've been asked to model and "simulate" these machines. I modeled and keyframe-animated them in Maya (having a much better understanding of Maya), but he wants something that he can manipulate, on the fly, outside of the Maya environment. I have no idea how to do that -- unless he is wanting some sort of video game-type of a file (although video game production is not a skill that I have). Sorry for all of that, but here are my questions... 1. Is there a way to create some sort of 3D file that can be manipulated (as in the use of virtual levers or switches) that can control different aspects of a modeled machine outside of the Inventor (or Maya) environment? 2. How much would it take for me to learn how to create one of his machines in Inventor, and then from that, to create a genuine, physics-based simulation of its real-world functionality? Is this something that requires engineering school, or will a few RU-vid videos do the trick? Bear in mind that the plans he has me following are not nearly as precise and complete as those I run into in these tutorials. There are sections and parts that are not complete. Can a simulation be created with something like this? Or, for a sim to be accurate and even to work at all, does it need to have a model that is 100% complete? Thank you much.
1. Hi, I am not quite sure about other software. One of the free software that I know would be "Blender", where it operate the same way maya does with the keyframe-animated. If you need to do inside inventor there are tool that slightly advance to learn called i-logic where it implements programming like language. You can create a button that would change the model. You can view the video example from here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5DpdwWgHOno.html 2. Learning to do modeling in inventor itself should be easy even for beginner without engineering background. We also have tutorial video that you can check: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Aw_O15AlB4k.html However, for the simulation is a bit advance especially if you want it to mimic real-world functionality. You do need some engineering background to understand the physic. Also, the simulation that we see here is not meant for animation but rather to study physic result. But if you do need to learn it, you can find the tutorial from the link below. help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2014/ENU/?guid=GUID-A518D3F2-0CCB-4935-A098-3C4CF5FACAD9 The model does not need to be 100% complete. You can run it if you know what input are needed.
Hi @ricardopanesi2210 . To create a corresponding number of people with the specified area, you need to insert the area value within the space area and click "ok" first after you specified the area value. Then open the edit people box again to see the people number change. Hope this helps. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to our channel.

hi @Erastoneus45 , The problem you're encountering could stem from being in the wrong P&ID standard. Please ensure your project setup aligns correctly; if the project uses PIP, the workspace should also follow PIP standards as well. To switch AutoCAD workspaces, locate the gear symbol in the bottom-right corner and make the necessary changes there. Thank you.
