Sorry for the delayed response I like Orthopli pliers I use three pliers for the fabrication. One is a heavy bird beak #036-XL, a three prong #064 or might be 064-L, and the largest is a lingual bar/facebow plier #067 Hope this helps
My opinion is that you need to study a little better the technique of making the palatine expander in mixed dentition. Because the two front arms do not cut.
I’m not sure exactly what you’re trying to say, but if you are saying that the expander should be made with all four arms then I disagree. There is no need for the front arms. Expansion is just as good with just two arms. I deliver multiple expanders per day every day and have never had an issue with not getting sufficient expansion in mixed dentition. Attaching the front arms makes the fabrication more difficult and more time consuming, and makes the appliance less comfortable and less hygienic. And does nothing to achieve better expansion. But this is just a video showing how I make the expanders that I use. You of course can do it however you prefer.
