Hey there! I'm Joe (formally Joe Crow - The Audio Pro), and I'm here to help you to become a podcasting pro. If you're learning how to record, edit, produce, launch and grow your podcast (or your clients' podcasts), this channel is for you.
I want to help you understand the basics and the not-so-basics of the podcasting process. You'll find in-depth guidance on using audio software to edit, mix and master your podcast episodes to a pro level; you'll discover the secrets of launching a stand-out podcast and much more
I learned the ropes of audio production in college and university. I then spent 10+ years in the recording industry working in studios across the UK. I'm now the Founder & Chief Engineer at podcast production company, Claricast, through which I've produced thousands of podcast episodes.
I want to show you everything that I've learnt, so you can achieve your goals.
Do you want to become an podcasting pro? Let me show you how...
Didn’t get audacity showing up in the effects menu, I just have Openvino instead did you have your folder renamed? I thought it slightly odd but it works anyway so thanks
Zoom records at up to 30. "All Riverside users can record with a frame rate of 24 FPS (frames per second). Users on a Riverside for Business plan can change the Studio to record video tracks at 25 FPS or 29.97 FPS." Most won't be able to tell the difference between any of these for video, though. And how smooth it is will depend on how smoothly the video recording went.
Why do you assume that if we want to create a podcast, it absolutely mean that we want to make money with it? How about having another goal such as totally accessible educational purpose, for instance? Accessibility mean (no charge, no money). If there is a cost, some people just wont be able to affort it, even with a small fee.
Hi there, the initial question of what you want to get out of the podcast, isn't just monetary goals. It could be just getting your voice out there, a feeling of satisfaction helping others, your own entertainment and so on. Also, making money from a podcast doesn't mean paywalling the content. One example could be offering additional coaching outside of the podcast, with the podcast remaining a free resource.
I did everything to a tee on the downloading process and everything is as it should be until you actually try to use those functions. anytime i try to use the seperation function i get a music seperation failed error. how do i fix this?
Downloaded and installed and everything went fine. Worked a charm on the audio file I selected. Don't know how it works but all the seperate tracks were created from the original single track I loaded into it. Thanks SO much for the tutorial. Just a couple weeks ago I was wondering if there was a way to isolate just the drum track from a song....now there is!
I had no idea I could use garage band. Thank you. I’ve actual just recorded my first episode using audacity but I can’t due load the WAV to my computer. I have to upload it to audacity 🥹 I’m looking to be able to keep the wav in my cloud or on my laptop.
GETTING AN ERROR MUSIC SEPERATION FAILED - Operation 'OpenVINO Music Separation' took 0.029000 seconds. Poll was called 2 times and took 0.000002 seconds. Yield was called 0 times and took 0.000000 seconds.
Thanks Pauline! Unfortunately, I haven't tried Podcastle. Descript is a similar service which is popular that I've tried. But I haven't dabbled with many AI-assisted tools for editing yet.
You made my day! New to Audacity. Picking up drums and guitar. This sound isolation will come in very useful in my new hobbies. I think the installation has been improved without the need to manually move the files to a certain location. Look forward to more of your videos!
I did some tests and it seems when you put delay first you get a more upfront sound. When you reverb first you get a more background effect good for if you want it more in the back
I have an pre recorded acoustic guitar audio and would like to change the tone of this guitar audio to make it sound better. Are there any software or tools available to do this. Please suggest.
I'm still having issues. My backing track keeps getting recorded when i try and voice over music. I have everything double and triple checked. I am using a mixer as an interface. It seems to work if i use the computer mic which i dont want to do. im at a loss.
I'm currently evaluating Reaper. I am switching from Cakewalk and I'm absolutely gobsmacked with the ease of use, support and features. This looks like a great DAW to learn and use.
@@JoeAtClaricast you can see that I am much less compatible with the 5600x because when I turn on the PC, I do the first transcription, it works: I do the second one and it gives me symbols of the alphabet. I wanted to ask you, what should I put on whisper model? always basic?
when importing track files the sound is very low can barely hear anything i just have a headphone no other hardware any idea how to fix it , i think its a audio device setting issue .
So, I have the latest Audacity (3.5.1 64bit) and I just downloaded the OpenVino plugin (v3.5.1-R2.1), I enabled and restarted, but when I go to Effect>OpenVINO AI Effects, I only have "Music Separation" and "Noise Suppression". I want to use the "Music Style Remix" but it isn't showing up. On the gihub they have a screenshot showing it in that list but I am not seeing it, do I need to download something else?
