I liked it you were cool and calm. Sorry the jar broke. It will go back to your card . But I liked your calmness on getting refund and prices have gone up. It's a shame, but this congressman Mendez accepts bribery and we are barley making it !!!!
Ever think that you might be the A-hole here? Causing people to have to make dangerous passes around you on a busy street, because you feel like playing with your hobby toy?
Ok, one I do not cause people to make dangerous passes. They can wait until it is safe to pass. I do not cause anyone to do anything. I am not responsible for peoples actions, and lastly, a bicycle is not a toy. It is considered a vehicle under state law. Anymore stupid ass comments and I will remove them, and report it to RU-vid as harassment.
most of these passes are totally fine, even if they're not technically legal because of the double/solid yellow line. You're taking up more of the lane than is really necessary even if you are entitled to the full width of it. It really seems like you're pushing your rights to create more of an issue than is really needed. Stay closer to the right shoulder and allow cars more room to pass you. I don't think you had to flip that car off even if they are a bit of a bone head. All you're doing is adding fuel to the fire of "bicycles are entitled". I say all this as someone that rides a bicycle and has for decades.
Bicycle riders have the same road rights as cars. Most drivers endanger bicyclists lives when passing. We have *should* be exercising our rights to be safe.
''Most of these passes are totally fine to me.'' (1) The first pass, unlawfully to be within 200' of approaching traffic, as per ORC 4511.29(A). They were well within 200' of oncoming traffic. The 2nd pass was unlawful, as going left of center approaching a blind hill is unlawful, and is as stupid as it gets(4511.30(1)) Most of these passes never endangered my life, however I put these on so I have records so in case someone does something really stupid, or puts my safety/life at risk, I have video proof of it. I can put on whatever I want, whenever I want(to a point). If you don't like the content, then don't watch it. Lastly, I am entitled to use the road, just as everyone else.
''Your taking up more of the lane than is really necessary even if you are entitled to the full width of it'' You are wrong. I take up as much of the lane as I need to, to keep myself safe. If I stayed to the far right, this invites close passes, and makes me less visible/relevant to the 2 ton behemoths that envelop our roads. Everyone is entitled to use public roads. A few are self-enttiled ; I am not one of them. It's safer to control the lane in many situations, where it's not safe to pass, such as narrow lanes(less than 14' in width), blind hills/corners, approaching intersections, railroad grade crossings, etc.. Unless you can prove to me that riding to the far right is safer than controlling the lane(have been doing so for over 10 years now), your comments are baseless. You need to think before making any more stupid comments.
Not sure what I missed here, you don't like cars passing you? Would you prefer everyone drive at bicycle speed behind you? Flipping that driver the bird was uncalled for and shows your incredible sense of entitlement.
Attempting to pull out directly in front of me was uncalled for, as far as the last driver is concerned. She got a piece of my mind. Never said for one second I didn't like cars passing me, as long as it's done safely and legally.
God I feel bad for your family who has to put up with you. Why do you ride around looking to start shit with anyone? Get a life that doesn’t include being G4Y on a bike on public roads
You think you get full control of a lane because you are a vehicle but think cars have to yield to you when you're riding through a cross walk? amazing. if you want vehicles to yield to you when you are within a crosswalk dismount and walk across, otherwise stfu.
Alright, I'm gonna attempt to tackle this. Biking on a road like this, in theory, is possible and can be safe. In practice, its not. That's not the fault of the drivers, its the road design. Theres no where safe and seperate to bike. Thats the only way to do it safely. Biking in the middle of the road isn't safe, and blaming drivers for it instead of blaming the root cause really dosent solve much. The better approach I would say is to campaign for better bike infrastructure, not the whole "bikes are the same as cars" argument, because they aren't the same.
In practice its generally safer to control the lane, than to stay to the far right, where you are most likely to be sideswiped(has happened to be numerous times)This does not 100% eliminate close passes, but it stops the majority of them, as pose to staying to the far right. It is also the motorists responsibility to follow/pass safely. The design of the road has nothing to do with this. Bike lanes are reasonably safe, if well designed. Bicyclists are not he problem, its people that don't give a f**k about others that are the most danger on the roads.
@@AdamMiller-qu3cc Alright, and what about the people who aren't as ballsy as you? What about a family, what about an elderly person? There's far more types of biker than just you.
I am not sure why you think having balls had anything to with keeping yourself safe. Sure, you will have people that are not as comfortable in controlling the lane. They may fear getting hit from behind, or they may feel like they are slowing motorists down. I don't let that deter me from asserting my legal right to the lane, and to keep myself safe. I still see many cyclists, however, riding to the far right. They are putting themselves at risk of getting sideswiped. as pose to controlling the lane and making yourself most visible. I cant control how people ride there bikes. If they choose to stay to the right, then so be it.
never seen a bigger group of cry babies. "wahhh you drove your road car too close to me on the road wah! I could have died because you were so close wahhh! the letter of the law says i'm allowed to ride on the road so you have to let me obstruct you and if you pass me i'll flip you off! wahhh! at least bikers all eventually get what they deserve. all i gotta do is wait
You are wrong. I ride in a way that keeps me safest. Riding along the edge only encourages close passing, where I am most likely to be sideswiped. I suggest you go learn about it. The only stupid person in this video is the moron that nearly hit me, because he couldn't wait 5 seconds to make a safe, legal pass.
Here most of use on 2 wheels carry. Too many donkeys. This old guy would have had a bad day if he stopped like that for me. I am another old guy been riding for 50 years...and have that much rage.
Not that close. And it wouldn't be close at all if he wasn't unnecessarily riding close to the middle of the lane. I'm a cyclist and this is one of those cases where everyone sucks here.
@@AdamMiller-qu3cc I suggest you learn about Ohio Section 4511.55. "Every person operating a bicycle or electric bicycle upon a roadway shall ride as near to the right side of the roadway as practicable". That's the law, which you're not following. So before you run your mouth or give people the finger, try following the laws of the road. As for safe, let us know when you end up as a hood ornament. My issue with your attitude is that you're more likely to make other cyclists like myself ALSO end up as hood ornaments as you disobey traffic laws, create confrontations and generally act like an asshat.
I know the laws, and follow them. Show me what law I am breaking. I am in compliance with ORC 4511.55(A) which states I must ride as far right as PRACTICABLE, AND 4511.55(C), which state I may use the full lane when it's not safe to ride on the right, as well as 4511.22(A), which goes to say I cannot be considered as illegally impeding traffic, since I am doing a reasonable speed for a cyclist.@@waltblackadar4690
Well no I don't know what you mean. If your suggesting I'd confront him, you are wrong, because stuping down to his level makes me look like a bigger fool.
@@AdamMiller-qu3cc You instigated it by being a fool and giving him the finger to begin with. Now, he stops, and wants to know what the problem is, and you, who was man enough to give him the finger just drives by like a ussy.
What would you have done ecackly? Just brush it off like it never even happened? Would you suggest I confront him the next time? What if he had a gun? I did not want to stick around and take the chance. Aiming a 3,500 pound automobile at someone and running away, is the definition of a coward. As I said before I have confronted many people over the years, and hardly anything good came out of it.@@glendubie
