We do a little bit of everything and try our best to capture it on video so someone can benefit from it. God, Small Scale Farming , Woodworking, and European Mounts are my passions. My family lives on a 6 Acre Farm where we raise a lot of what we eat from vegs - meat. I'm Incredibly cheap so that drives me to fix everything myself, so I do a lot of DIY fixes when things break. During the winter I run a European Skull Mount Business for a little side business witch takes us into the woodshop a great deal making plaques for the mounts. We try to do regular product reviews when we find something worth the money. I just want to share my experiences and short comings in hope that it helps someone else along the way.
hey man, great vid. Can you tell me if you're still happy with this mower and Honda engine combo as of today 10/10/24. I'm about to pull the trigger on a used one only 5 month warranty left and like 80hrs on it. What do you think would be a good price? I'm trying to get it for $6k or is that still too high?
@thepropertygurus.9940 I would just look around at the price of other used ones for a price. That sounds reasonable. I'm still very happy with my mower. Run 100%gas and it cranks everytime and runs great no issues to speak of.
Life saver. We were able to take the battery out and fill it from the top. But you ad to go through all of that to teach us how to do it. Then you filmed it and shared it. I used my Hydro filler for my boat and pumped it straight in. Thank you. I owe you one. It worked like a champ on our mower.
I think you've sold it to me. Wow, you were shifting a ton of leaves all in one go there. I've not seen that done with any small handheld dedicated blower. I was trying to see if it was worth me getting this blower attachment or a dedicated handheld leaf blower, which you generally use with one hand. I've got the Stihl KM56 power head. Not sure if you get that one in the USA. Here in the UK the KM56 is the second smallest in the range, the KM55 being the smallest, or I probably should say the lowest spec model. So i'm hoping it will be up to the job of using the blower. I have got a few attachments for mine. The strimmer, hedgecutter, chainsaw pruner and the one metre extension pole and I've used them all hundreds of times and happy with them. I find the extension pole very useful with the hedgecutter and chainsaw. One thing I want to ask you is, do you find it heavy or tiring to use your kombi with the blower for long periods.
@MrBooojangles I think the string trimmer head is heavier than the blower head. I can use it one handed pretty easily. It's still working great no issues. I think unless your going to get a backpack blower I think this blower attachment will outperform a handheld unit. And most handheld units you only use one handed so it's more strain vs this unit I have. I'm very happy with it. I also didn't want to have another engine to maintain.
@BrileyWray ahh thanks for that and for the quick reply. Thats great. Oh no, I'm never using any more knapsack tools again LOL, after a place I used to work, I had to spray weedkiller over a large area of driveway with a knapsack sprayer and gave me back problems for a few years.
So all you did was change the axle seals? You didn’t “fix “ the transmission? What a waste of my damn time. 180000 videos showing you how to change the seals but none on shaft repair and your video misled me. Damn it .
@美漂Elias历险记 I don't think it would work the that length. I have problems with it and have to put the antenna on the back of my expedition to get it to stream smoothly.
i realize that i was in a hurry and i was trying to find a quick way to change the belt, or put it back on but when you start out with you gotta do this and then you gotta do that and not showing where anything was...in short, next.
Hi - I had the same throttle body failure on my XT1 50, and using your video was able to get it fixed and back in service in about 20 minutes. Definitely appreciate the video!
This is for the man whose mower left strips of uncut grass between the blades. I had the same problem with my JD lawn tractor. I mentioned it to a JD parts man and he said that he was a helicopter mechanic in Vietnam. He said that I was aligning the blades wrong. He said that the solution for copters is the same for lawn mowers. Multiple blades should be perpendicular to each other to do the best job of cutting because the rush of air will suck the grass blades into the path of the mower blades. I felt like a fool, but took his advice and it solved my problem immediately. I absolutely love my 60” deck Maverick HD with the Honda engine. It’s bulletproof!
My CC 50" eats throttle cables, I'm lucky if I get 6 months before having to replace, problem is the cable housing is just below the right hand Kohler cylinder head, and just above the exhaust manifold, cable gets too hot and starts to bind, and sure enough the plastic throttle breaks, I've got some 1/2" heat shield on order to try and keep cable cooler
In an effort to have the tires hold all the weight not me….. If I were to add two more tire for front would I need tie rod and rear axle position further back. I still believe even with the biggest sand tires and perfectly designed beach cart, you’re really gone to need something motorized to take the work and struggle out of getting to the beach.
A buddy took two of those carriers and made a two tier pier cart for himself. at first he used two 20" bicycle size wheels and two casters but has since switched to four fixed 8" generator wheels. He made a recessed top lid that forms a tray on top, he found an aluminum baking sheet or pan that fit just perfect which drops right in place. (He lost the first one to the wind, so now that tray is hinged so it folds down flat on one side if needed. He added a round 1" aluminum push handle set off the top frame about 4" or so and covered with foam padding so your hands don't stick to it in the cold. The top and bottom levels are spaced using aluminum tubing he tig welded in place.. The downside is the size of the cart, its dimensions are less than ideal for most cooler and tackle box combinations. His rod holders are PVC with the tops heated and flared outward. He also incorporated a parking spike of sorts that can be stepped into the ground or dropped between the boards on the pier to keep the wind from blowing it around.
@@BrileyWray I was thinking that but since it works on propane the propane side doesn't use the heating element. For electric side it does and was thinking maybe heating element is shorting out and needs replaced
@rmstark1966 if that's the case it is probably your heating element. You should be able to test your voltage at the element and see if you get power at the element then test the element
Hi, great video, I need to replace the transmission belt to. Did you lift the tractor from the rear. If so ,was it easier to install belt. Thanks and God Bless.
One tip, you want to get the top end of the reflectix under the edge of the roof - otherwise when it rains the water will get trapped in between it and the pop-up fabric.
Keep a eye out for leaks on trans or axles seals That’s where the oil leaks out most of the time Replacing axles seals are easy and fill up trans 😊 I just dropped the trans and turned over to drain 😊
