Welcome! I am a voice & piano teacher, vocal coach, singer, pianist and arranger who loves to make reaction videos of singers from around the world. I love all kinds of music and I love breaking down how singers use their voices but also their emotional focus and stage presence to create incredible performances.
I also have over 200 free singing tutorial videos covering a variety of subjects from breathing to belting. Additionally, I teach online voice & piano lessons through Zoom & FaceTime.
"I don't know why this album didn't take off more..." "Invincible" to this day is the most expensive album ever made at a cost of $30 million. When it was released, however, Michael was at odds with Sony because the masters to his previous albums, "Bad", "Dangerous", and "HIStory" were supposed to be released to him around this time, but Sony pulled some corporate jujitsu and said they wouldn't be released to him for another 9 years. Michael decided to leave the label and refused to go on a planned world tour, which prompted Sony to immediately stop all promotion on the album. Michael sued Sony but passed away before he could have his day in court. "Invincible",, which initially received negative reviews, would go on to be considered one of Michael Jackson's best albums. Even Michael himself would say that it was just as good as, or even better than Thriller.
Maynard was stone cold sober during that show. It was a theatrical performance depicting the throws of D.T. (delirium tramans),a potentially fatal condition of extreme addiction. I've seen it for myself, my brother drank himself to death. Maynard's depiction of D.T. is quite perfect.😢
The entire concert is at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YCsRT5smmZM.html, if you'd like a few more samples for reaction. A wide range, including some songs in Norwegian. Enjoy.
Mike's mike was live, however what you are watching is a version where a 3rd party replaced the actual vocals with vocals from another performance. You will have to do a RU-vid search for actual Flip Wilson show they appeared on. Where MJ's vocals were live while his brothers weren't
I cant sing rock, i can sing show tunes harmony in my band. The lead singer in my band sings heart, benatar etc. Shes an awesome rock singer. I grew up with opera and classical so totally not me. More like Sade.
This song helped me cope with the stress of working in hospital through Covid. Work then was SO stressful I had to have this on replay on the drive home every night.
Based on the fact that it was her premiere and her lung and health condition were very bad back then, a performance 10 months ago at a small place right in front of quite a few fans oh hers is worth listening to. That was similar to the stuff here but closer to the perfection I imagine.
Thank you, Ms Valerie White Williams, I had viewed the film of the young Bjorling boys singing from a very young age via a film depicting the early era of this amazing singing family. I agree with all your interesting commentary about the powerfully exquisite voice of Jussi Björling. At differing times during my life (now 76 years) a tear would force itself from one of my eyes such was the wondrous emotion that overcame me when listening to the world's most famous singing artists, both male and or female. A favourite former time coloratura soprano in the name of Lili Pons would have me captured in the most splendid, glorious raptures. Old William.

I'm glad you handle those trolls well but these people are nothing compared to the real nasties that show up at Grace's videos. I edit my comments a lot of times because I may find something a reactor says very interesting and I want to comment before I forget what I was thinking then come back to it after the video is over to add something if something about it strikes another thought. Grace VanderWaal just released another song and this one is a gem for Vocal Coaches. It's called Call It What You Want.
Break it down lady, thas why we love you!😅. You’re absolutely right accurate how the music was more sensuous. Actually one of my fav things to listen to is Stevie Womder’s Creepin, which Luther Vandross also recorded. But when he hear Stevie’s version, if you listen closely yu can her Minnie in the background, sooo sensuous. She really had a warm personality that came across in camera, as she wasn’t shy like many black artists were at that time, & had a sense of humor. It makes sense that Mya is so talented. Was truly heartbreaking when she succumbed to cancer. Great reaction! 🙏🌟🎶
Correction: The Microphone doesn't amplify sounds, it's actually the Loud Speakers and amps that amplify the sounds. All the mic does is capture sounds and transforms them into an electric signal. Then the Loud speaker would vibrate those electrical signals as sound wave A.K.A vibrations.
Minnie dying from breast cancer at age 31 such an unfair and major loss. Minnie should have lived at least 50 years longer than she did. Rest In Peace Lovely Lady❣
I enjoyed your sweet review of John's voice and that you picked up on his wholesomeness. I just think that's who he was. I'm a 65 y.o. opera singer and retired computer programmer, and have had several voice coaches during my life so I know a good voice when I hear one. I was first attracted to John's voice in the mid 1970's while working as a broadcaster (albeit 15 y.o.) at a local radio station and have been a fan ever since! Thnx for your tender review of one of the best fold singers we've had in a long time...
