What a treat to meet up with a fellow journaler, I don’t think there are any in my part of the U.K. 😂 I’m slowly moving away from Instagram. I’ve had horrible experiences - both bad insights into some business people & including someone who I thought a friend totally backstabbing me. Drama! But the worst is IG switching from community focus to TikTok copy - they push viral content & your followers rarely see your posts! Crazy. But I can’t leave entirely because I’ve made some lovely connections. Sharing our love of paper & pens is a gift for sure. Take care, tfs 😊💛

Taking time out for ourselves is vital and I’m still learning to do it (at my older age!). I use the Muji undated planner in A6 for the second time now as my main planner and very fond of the way I get to personalise it (always want to try other fancier things but this one is indeed lovely and you get high quality Japanese paper for less money) - hope you enjoy yours too ❤

good on you stepping away from your job at a while! that's not an easy decision to make. I love seeing your planner spreads and it's really realistic i think to have a couple of blank pages and blank weeks. it's all a part of memory keeping basically! edit: o we said almost the same thing 😂❣

I tend to think of unused pages as representing the sort of literal space, physical and mental rest, that can be so useful and healing during difficult times. If a planner or notebook is a little friend or confidante, sometimes just having it nearby is enough. They’re endlessly patient. ☺️

I think what you did with your weekly spread this week is beautiful and human.

Hi, I discovered your channel at the weekend. I’m now working my way through your back catalogue. Your videos are very informative and entertaining. Lovely to hear you’re a fellow cross stitcher. Try Noodlers Heart of Darkness for a very black ink. I use a blunt syringe to refill an empty cartridge, you get so much more ink per refill than using a piston cardridge.

I'm on the opposite side of my Avec-Journey. 🙈 Started in January but soon found out, that it isn't working for me. Sold my second book so that it could be useful for someone else. I love how much you love this planner. The beauty about planning for me pays in the fact that there's a planner for everyone and I love to watch folks when they are in a happy planner place. ❤️

I can totally relate to mood /not connecting with book when not starting the day with pen to page; I don’t do mornings pages or write just at end of day, I find it is easier for me to come to the book first thing to clear my mind for the day and then throughout the day if something comes up for me - positive actions, fun, sad, etc. - I support my well-being via the daily pages. Thank you for sharing how you were kind to yourself with a sofa-day when you needed it on Sunday. I have stopped punishing or guilting myself when I need more sofa time and have found this has allowed me to have space to getup and actually get more done for myself on non-work days despite living with disability. Congrats on 2k subscribers, I too am new subscribers from last month 🎉 With regards to your goals notebook, I can also relate, I decided to start on a large sheet of brown packaging from orders, as “brain extraction space”. I folded the paper in half horizontally, in thirds vertically, to map out 6 areas of my life. As something comes to me, I slowly build/write what I would like for myself in those areas and what I have achieved so far this year (to support my winning for myself - life can be hard to forward think when everyday is challenging so counting the wind helps), taking my time putting this together on a rough draft takes the pressure off getting it wrong/messy in a nice new notebook. I can transfer when I am ready and clear with my thoughts. The US spelling of Pelican is with a C. But I sometimes intentionally use the British spelling of certain words like colour instead of color, etc. beautiful pens!

Washi taping the ruler is a great idea. You can also take a smoother (fine) for nails and smooth the edges of the paper by buffing the size

Our weather in the Gulf Coast US - has mostly been partly cloudy to thick blankets of clouds/showers, stormy but I’m ok with that because a good bit of the country has been savage heat
