This so sad. I wanted to look up the cinema after seeing the trailer for Gladiator II and this is where I saw the first film. I used to live near to Stratford and the Picture House was the only near by THX certified cinema within a short train ride. I saw so many classics Saving Private Ryan Fellowship of the ring Episode II attack of the clones The Two Towers Gladiator And so many others around that time in the early 2000's even random films like Mulan and Chicken Run i saw there. Thank you for this video. I know its not the same, but in a strange way i get to say thank you Picture house for those memories of the big clock on the screen as the time always slowly counted down and then after the trailers that incredible deep THX note that would go through your chest as the movie would start. Stratford Cultural District is a shadow of its former self. The art centre opposite used to have shows and music gigs, drama and dance events, Gradually it is all going dark. Very sad days.
