im personally fine with bootlegs, because some people will never be able to watch the shows live, and want to be able to experience it. but, if you are going to, be at least a bit respectful !!! don’t film super close, or in a way that is obviously distracting. thats just an asshole move
I recall this concert clearly as it was the only time I ever saw Led Zep. The vocals were spotty as Robert Plant explains, but he did in fact "kick in a lot"-so much so that you could hear him singing over the band in their quieter moments. Ah, what a concert that was.
@metropolan It’s not hilarious what they put in our cigarettes thou, all in the name of public safety cause a few people fall asleep while smoking. Hate the FSC cigarettes, never had any burn holes in the other truck until they started selling this garbage.
It's funny that Jose Feliciano's name is bigger in the ad than Led Zeppelin's, cause Led Zep became a WORLDWIDE GROUNDBREAKING phenomenon, with massive tours in stadiums, revolutionized rock, gave birth to Heavy Metal, are known all over the world and have sold 200 million times more than Jose Feliciano, but back then, they were just some english kids, and Jose had the edge over them.
I do feel bad for the actors but, at the same time, I DO watch bootlegs and desperately try to find every single one out there, because if it weren't for those I would NEVER be able to watch any broadway, westend and other major company's musicals. The few official DVD's do not work on my country's code, I wish broadway and co could find a solution to that and give us an alternative, where people who can't be present at the shows would still be able to watch it.
k but what about ppl that don’t have the opportunity to see the shows? I live too far away from America and I just know broadway bc of the bootlegs. I’m sorry. But that’s the true...
Dat Dood I’m not disagreeing with you, dear. I’m an actress. it is distracting. my point in all this, is that if there wasn’t bootlegs, I wouldn’t have a chance to study or see any musical theatre content.
Jack Valenzuela it’s illegal and is strictly prohibited. I get your point and have enjoyed watching bootlegs but to just blatantly hold your camera up in the front 4 rows is really disrespectful!!
That's not how live shows work, Jack. As a theatre actor, it's distracting to see faces lit up from the audience area whenever we're performing on stage. A live show is not for the audience to film, and that's the beauty and magic of it - to be on your seat for an hour or two, and actually just enjoy it without the need to get your phone and film it.
Thank you, Spot! I didn't film this, but I actually have some low quality footage of the same kind of encounter in Cincinnati. I also have two shots of her posing with me on the sidewalk; one in Nashville and one in Pittsburgh. I liked this clip because she opens the door from a quiet garage into the madness out in the alley; quite a crazy juxtaposition!
Interestingly enough, I have talked to people who smoked for decades (usually the low or non-additive cigarettes) and all of a sudden felt like they were dying once the FSC ones came in and they started smoking them. If you can't quit smoking, get yourself a nice roller machine, some tobacco, and rolling paper. That, or take up pipe smoking. At least you don't inhale the smoke which, besides the additives, I am sure is responsible for most of the harm from tobacco, then that would be a step up.
Cool, I'm from the UK, I flew over to Orlando to meet a love interest of mine, we stayed in Kissimmee, I loved it, especially the area around Old Town, yeah there's something about Kissimmee that adds to the romance, I too feel like going back someday just to retrace my steps haha
+Mike Thomas (YouAreThePath) Mike! Wow, thanks for watching! You watching and commenting on my rather unprofessional little video qualifies as a 'brush with greatness' for me! Searching for and locating this trailer park after approximately 40 years was just stranger than anything I've done in a long, long time! I'm 61 years old, and I honestly thought I'd never live long enough to make it back to the Magic Kingdom. But, lordy I did it! Adding to the mysticism, for me, is the fact that I still have an audio cassette of a conversation I had in this trailer park all those years ago with a then 15 year old girl (I was 21) as we sat on the bank of that estuary next to WDW property. Well...I could go on, so I won't. Thanks for being in touch! Rich, in Columbus, Ohio
Wow...I watched your WDW video. Very nice HD work! Very nice editing and sound editing! I notice these things! Felt like I was there for a few minutes. I remember those door buttons, and the sound they made, too. It was the row of black buttons on the outside behind the pilot's door, right? I just watched it again just now, and I think there are a few muffled door clicks at 0:57. Just the same, a clean, close shot of the doors popping open would've been fun. Can you say solenoid actuators?
Wish you had video of them closing the doors...That was my favorite to watch the CM walk along the monorail and shut the doors...Also liked it when the monorail person would push the buttons and the doors would open and have almost a "pop-crack" type of sound.
1984 I went to Disney World that Summer with my folks and my Aunt, and this trip would mark the first time we would go with my mom's friend and her family. Also that year my fourth girlfriend was born, and I was ten years old. Plus The Cosby Show debuted on NBC and that brought NBC back from the DEAD! So 1984 was a good year.
