Project Hawick is a not-for-profit organisation that relies entirely on donations from dedicated supporters such as yourself. All proceeds from our new Patreon page will be used to directly fund projects we have lined up for 2017, including: a new website to replace our current, third-party owned forum; the preservation and display of old photographs and items contributed by members; the purchase of branded polo-shirts for our committee; the filming of a local history RU-vid series; establishment of a Hawick Awards ceremony in late 2017.

I am so glad I have found this video. I am an English incomer to Hawick (1968!) and the Common Riding has always fascinated me. I remember sometime during the 1970s standing in front of the Town Hall for the Handing Back Ceremony and being really moved by the Saxhorn Band playing Invocation. I am now housebound and thought I would never hear it again and I have been desperately searching all over the Internet in the hopes of hearing it played. This video is even better as it is a wonderful thrill to not only hear but also to see everything of the last few minutes of the 2015 Common Riding. Thank you so much for your efforts.
