The Filmit Festival is the first film competition for high schools hosted by a high school. Filmit is the proud initiative of Paul Roos Gymnasium.
It is aimed at: Skills development in the fields of film, media and communication. Developing young creatives to thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Unearthing and promoting African talent on a global level.
The Filmit Festival is open to high school learners from: South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Lesotho.
Young creatives can enter in the following categories: Film. Documentary. Animation. Music video. Other (video art, performance poetry, etc.) Advertisements.
It includes mentorship from: Industry professionals. Lecturers at tertiary institutions.
