Hey folks! I am a beginner in photography/videography. Every week, I will upload photos/videos to showcase my progress in this field. My gear is the Canon EOS R50 with and RF 24-105 F/4, RF 50mm F/1.8 STM and RF 100-400
What i see is that for the average mid-tier to slight higher tier youtuber, Instagram, or TicTok'er, a phone with FHD is good enough. If you are wanting MKBHD or Mr.Beast level of clarity and depth, then sure, get the Camera. Or better yet just get both and be done.
@@kelvin-hy9xn hey, check this Canon website, its very easy to set cam.start.canon/en/C011/manual/html/UG-09_Set-up_0100.html Depending to changed format you then see 60fps
The R50 with its 55-250mm zoom lens wins the squirrel photo comparison. But what if a person had the short zoom kit lens attached & didn't have time to change the lenses? Pretty much a draw with the other photos but the R50 colors look more intense.
Hey bro, 100% Canon R50 does much much better pics and videos than iphone 15 PRO MAX. Pics and videos from iPhone is always seems good from the phone's screen, but if you look the pics from iphone from big screen, than you will see the huge difference between R50 and iphone 15 pro max. The only thing that Canon R50 doesn't have in-body image stabilization for pics and videos, but gimbal will solve you issue ;)
@@strangenomadtv Thank you, brother, for the advice. I love the video clips you film, and I hope you can explain to us the camera and editing settings you use.
It's all about optics, I too own S23Ultra and and old Canon DSLR with mid grade lenses., however optics make all the difference. And the bokéh it is just not there in phones. Yet.... However, S23Ultra holds its own with pro mode or Camera RAW. But, they put too much processing into that mode. I want less processing in Camera RAW. Love the photos from S23Ultra.
@@peterrutkowski2742 Hey, thank you for your comment. I agree with you that photos done by cameraphones are too much AI processed, i think if there was a mode to take RAW without any AI involvement the photos might be much close to pro cameras.
Just bought a R50 and downloaded DaVinci Resolve. Planning to try out to make a copy of this colour grading, can you provide links to how-to videos (I could not find one in your list of videos). Great video, by the way 🙂👍
Hey, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I do not have yet tutorials on color grading. I am still a beginner on this area, still learning from the tutorials of other profs in RU-vid. But in the near future I am going to launch couple of videos on the settings of the camera for photo/video as well as a basic color grading in Davinci Resolve. Thanks a lot and wish you a good luck with your adventure with R50 ;)
Canon camera always better in video. We are talking about sensor size. Canon R50 with HDR PQ on, 10 bits and 4K destroy any top Mobile... Try test at night. Canon will rip out the Iphone. Again, sensor size and interchangeable lenses.
Noté que con el iPhone si expones el cielo, y con la camara no, ahi ya hay ventaja a la cámara, lo difícil es ver colores nitidos cuando expones el cielo
@@tinhoc6aNow I am using RF lenses. In the beginning I didnt have enough budget to afford a good lens. In the meantime ef 55-250 is one of the good lenses 👍🏻
Hey! Thank you for your comment. I didn't try ZVE10, but Canon R50 does really good job in Videography and Photography. And it is considered as vlogging camera. Me personally I am very satisfied, therefore I do recommend.
I have a s23 Ultra, I love the cameras, they are insane, btw I do not like this sharpness on 4k 60fps and would love if samsung correct that in the next updates. In 8K the s23U camera looks better than the R50.
Hey 👋! First you need to shoot at 24 fps, the second you need to x2 fps of shutter speed. For example 24fps x 2 = 1/48 or 1/50 shutter speed, 60fps = 1/120 shutter speed etc. Then its better to shoot with picture style “Neutral” or install CineStyle for canon. Of course will be good to color grade with DaVinci or other video editor app.
Wow! This video says it was uploaded 2 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago I was in Amsterdam, doing very similar footages with my brand new Canon R50 / RF 50mm f/1.8 lens. Greetings!
Hey, I have s23 ultra only, and Im sure there is not a big difference between the cameras of S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra. You can have a look to the comparison I did already ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-95E-pa_kRSQ.html
I don't know if you had the nd fillet on the Canon, but the video is better than the iPhone in most cases because the iPhone like most phones is using share to give color and vibrance but it's over exposed in a lot of the shots
Camera will be better 100% of the time. Specially if you use computers. If you are limited to a 6.5" screen everything looks better so the phone appears to be good enough
Would have like to seen the videos edited to get more of the clarity with color grading and the other thing was having the same focus point on both devices to have a better comparison. The iPhone on the first few videos had beautiful clarity but I found color to be under saturated. But once they were color graded they would have been awesome photos. I appreciate however you doing the comparison I know it’s not always possible to get an exact comparison every time you do one so I commend you on this one! Just some criticism but do not think this is an attack. Great video thanks for sharing!🎉 0:15
Hey, I am learning from youtube, there are plenty nice guys who are giving entry level tutorials on how to color grade the footage using Davinci Resolve. All comes with practice and experimenting 😉
Great comparison, I like to see how the colors behave in each situation, in the photos we don't even need a comparison, right? Buying a mirrorless with any smartphone, even if it's top of the line, is impossible
Thank you. In most situations when you watch comparisons from the smartphone you will see a little difference, but if you will watch this video from the big screen of laptop or TV, you will notice a big difference between camera and smartphone 😊.
@@strangenomadtv thats awesome I always wondered if i should record -4 for contrast and sat. Instead of -2, and -3. Ill try it out and do some comparing, experiment with it, thank you, awesome.
