He feel say afrobeat for bring more attentions to the problems wey the African man dey face rather than the 'party and women vibe' but in reality, afro beats be more of party genre. The fact is that, there is no tribe in Ghana that can tell their history without mentioning Ashantis name in it. This is because Ashantis fought almost every tribe in Ghana and the biggest of it all were their fight against the British together with other tribes and even other national from Nigeria, Sierra Leon, west Indis. They spread their territory to the point that, at the peak of their empire, their territories were 3 times the size of modern day Ghana. With such powerful tribe, how do you expect their names not to be found in Ghana’s history books. Many of the Akan proverbs we speak today emanated from the Wars and many other activities of Ashantis in the past history. Eg. “ Premoo ato meaning 12oclock” “ Nnyɛ obi n’akum Bosiako” meaning you do things at your own risk” And many more. Besides, when you go to Kumasi, Ashantis have preserved their historical artifacts and equipment till now and has so many records of their history which can be physically seen and touch to prove to the world of of what existed years back in their museums. All these can be found in Kumasi cultural centre, Manhyia palace museum palace museum, Arm forces museum at Adum near Bank of Ghana, Komfo Anokye museum, Yaa Asantewaa Museum, Bonwire and countless of them. Manhyia has a whole archives for fact checking and all historical records of their correspondence between them and the British, the Portuguese and the denis. Many researches go there for information. Ashantis are wise to the point that they have documented almost everything about their kingdom, their life styles, about their Kings, their cultural and traditional customs and they have their documented CONSTITUTION. The history of Asantes is even more popular outside Ghana and found in various research departments in first class top global Universities like Harvard, Oxford, Manchester and many more. Their long time past relationship with united Kingdom is solid. I think this topic of discussing about Ashantis name severely mentioned in Ghana’s book is totally irrelevant and virtually brings jealousy and mere hatred. We should all admit the fact and stop the bitterness. This will never take us anywhere. We should rather find a means of uniting and developing our country at this time and stop such things..
