Excellent video - was looking at nanny-cam or webcam apps to try and do this, but the black magic app works perfectly - using 2 iphone 11s one on a 2m long extension and gimbal - giving some fantastic panoramic shots and drone type aerial shots.
Hi Rob I always use for videos for tutorials on camera Apps. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max, and I am viewing your Cinema P3 Pro exposure settings tutorial one year later. My screens does not have the same info as yours, and I couldn't get the square reticule either. On the Camera Settings, your screen shows Center, Spot and Manual fully spelt out. On my screen, it shows, C, S and M. Today 21st August 2024, I have just downloaded the App, and I am disappointed that I cannot follow exactly your procedures. Many thanks Terry Davis
Hi. I believe C is center, Spot and M is for manual. These either relate to focus, exposure or both. They very recently updated the layout of the app so I am still learning the changes currently. I should have more or less everything I have apart from Pro Res and Log options.

Yeah, I agree the flaring might be a 'case use' or 'taste' thingy..... But OMG: 105 grams! My back! .... I know, it's a cellphone lens, but coming from using 'real' cameras, 100 grams is like the weight of a lens hood (or not even) -- and the BeastCage itself is fairly heavy... I have a question, I have tried many things and they don't work for me. When I try to connect it to my tablet or any of the phones that it has, it won't let me and I get this note. No remote cameras available for controle
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker The truth is that it's not just my iPhone, I have three phones that I use to record and none of them connect, I always get an announcement that the connection is not available, I have not been able to connect any of them.
@@SmartphoneFilmmaker I do the whole connection process correctly, the process is totally simple, but when I finally touch the control that appears in the upper left corner of the screen with my finger, then I get an announcement that says that the connections are not available.

I have this app on an iPhone 11, all seems to work ok but I can't get audio on playback, yes I am selecting either internal or external microphone and I can see the sound bar display move in sink with audio being spoken, what am I doing wrong please.
Hmm. The usual fix for these kinds of glitches is to uninstall the app completely and then reinstall it. As long as your audio source isn't set to 'None' then it should be working.
Fantastic sound design and editing. You inspire others who want to make films and show it can be done without a crippling budget. Kevin Smith financed his first major film Clerks with several credit cards. 30 years later you can make a movie with an iPhone and FilMic Pro (Although that company's standing at this time is still in limbo). Thanks for your early alert to this upgrade. Any idea why I'm getting a "no other cameras available" message on all 3 of our iphones (mine is iphone 15 ProMax, wife has a new iphone 15 pro) after I add the updated app? I appreciate your descripions in youTube, very clear and helpful.
@@RevLevo2 You’re welcome! As mentioned in the other comment make sure they are all connected to the same WiFi network first. Otherwise try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app on each device. That often solves the glitches in apps. Hopefully that fixes things for you?
I'm creating my own shortfilm themed on depression and anxiety, but shooting it at home with just my phone and capcut (but with a indie film level edit) posting it on my RU-vid and Facebook... Maybe getting feedback from others! This is a great example that we can make better content with no money!
Does remote monitoring with BM app needs both iPhones to be signed in with same Apple ID or can I use my friends iPhone/iPad & use this remote monitoring?
Good question. I don't see why you couldn't use a friends iphone/ipad for the monitoring. As long they have the same app downloaded then you just need wifi turned on.
This is game changing for me. I always struggled to monitor the recording. I used AirPlay my iPhone's screen to my MacBook but then I can't use the MacBook anymore. I wish it could work on cable to minimise delay.
@@simoz78 Match Controller does a one time push, Link controls adjust the controls of the linked camera, simultaneously, in real time. You can link all controlled cameras together or you can link some.

I would imagine with all the free crap that is passed out to this channel, people in the industry must be watching the comments. I will pay $50 for just a passable camera app with two features. One, no subscription. Two, a remote app. Which I would pay more for. I see a lot of people saying the same thing and I just don’t know why it’s so difficult no one is doing it.
