I was aboard this vessel back in 1986. If it’s the same vessel he designed for his father in law who was a physician and loved Maine built wood boats. Chuck’s mother said Chuck did not want his father in-law to have a wood hull but would design the interior to reflect Maine wood boat interiors. Gorgeous boat but his mother wanted to step down to one of Chuck’s smaller vessels in the 30’ range. His parents were retired and her focus was in grand kids and not on sailing an ocean greyhound. It was for sale finally as the family never went small but kept her to the end when the natural conclusion of age over ability reigned over these intrepid mariners.
Such a masterpiece! Boat that last forever! I wonder also in Europe could have this kind of vessel...no tower bridge and few other changes and would fit perfectly for the market..pity that with tax import and double price of the petrol are not so common to see
@@eduardocruzo8607 I have my boat next to Viking sport fish.... Incredible yacht but they are expensive now. 30 years ago they couldn't give them away. Something changed.
@@TOPDadAlpha Too much stupid money out there. I see a couple of them where I live, Clearwater Beach, that go out maybe twice a year. Basically, I buy because I can.
@@eduardocruzo8607 big check books with zero knowledge and experience. I live in South Florida. I believe boat licenses should be required. At least the basics. The boating industry has been fighting it for decades.
