Stumbled across this video... Putting so much emphasis on research experience without a publications is WILD. Especially as it wasn't that long of a research experience. This is what is contributing to the never ending cycle of crappy publications being put out by undergrads and med students so it looks like people accomplished amazing things. If someone has spent any time in medicine, they will know that the most meaningful research is very often over long periods of time and not just published for the sake of it.

The goal of emphasizing research on an ERAS CV is to show commitment to learning, but it’s key that students approach it with authenticity.
