I am a theoretical physicist at California Institute of Technology (www.caltech.edu/), where I serve as the Fred Kavli Professor for Theoretical Physics and Mathematics and the Founding Director of the Walter Burke Institute for Theoretical Physics (burkeinstitute.caltech.edu/). I am also the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Aspen Center for Physics (aspenphys.org/). From 2018 to 2023, I was the Director of the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe at the University of Tokyo (www.ipmu.jp/).
