Sorry.... "Cucina" IS NOT prounounced. "Koo see NA" as you did. It is pronounced _ (Koo Chee na) so if you are going to try to speak Italian, make sure you get it right. So no "koo see na" is Not Italian... BUT Cucina "koo chee na " This is to say "Ci" in Italian is pronounced like the English Ch. Thanks
I think you could get rather big leaves just by providing it with a taller plank. I am so tired of moss poles, they require constant watering. And they are not attractive either..
These things are great! I own 6 of them currently. Only have 2 set up currently. (I know..I do everything to the extreme!) one is indoor and one is outdoors. Just got a saluspa Dominica with the hydrojets. The air jets are nice but the hydro jets are awesome for my back. (Arthritis. Broke my back in 07) the other one I have up is the saluspa Hollywood. The liner lights up! I recommend buying a descaler to maintain the pump if you haven’t already. (Just like coffee makers or anything that heats water, Limescale build up in the parts can be an issue over time)
@@plantheartbeats Yeah, I had to fulfill a language requirement to get my BA, so I thought when is the next time I'm going to go to Paris, or Moscow or Berlin? So I took Latin--the dead language that's still alive and kicking. Love you vid, by the way, thanks for the love!
The browning on your crocodile fern is a condition known as fernus fussicus, a common condition among ungrateful houseplants. If it bothers you, feed the fern to its namesake and get a sansevieria.
Sometimes the varigation depends on a plant's genetics. Thai Constellations are a good example of this. The Manjula likes bright filtered light and is picky about water quality. I treat the water that I use with all of the 130 plants in my collection with aquarium water conditioner.
They are not cages . They are netty pots. They are used in hydroponic gardening, so maybe the plants that have them were grown in water then transferred to soil. Some people say they cause no problems whereas others say they do. Clearence plants, in some cases, are horribly neglected so why not just replant from the start.
What did you end up using for chemicals? I use the Frog Ease floater. It is great! Pretty much all in one and don’t really need a bunch of other chemicals.
When I got mine I put it in a mix of peroxide and water , changed the water every 3 days for more than 1 month, then planted and I am getting a new leaves.
Wow how lucky 🍀 I always pot epot with transparent “inner” pots and a decorative outer pot that way I can see the roots plus if there still moisture in the pot 😊
Im happy to see this, gives me hope 😊 mine was amazing looking I had it in pond then I thought to repot in a larger pot ( was too big 😢) but I did a mix similar to yours… and it stayed wet and got root rot.. now I cleaned it up and put in water and was wondering if it was ok 😅 so thanks for the video 😊
I have to tell you that I watched your Thai videos MANY TIMES over. It gave me hope that my Thai would survive even when it had next to ZERO roots haha. AND IT DID!!! I was so confident that I bought another one, chopped off all its soil roots and rooted it in perlite to eventually go in semi hydro. And it worked like a charm too. Without seeing your videos, I likely would have tossed the plant thinking it would die LOL. 🥰
Wow! Wow, that was one of the most encouraging comments I have received thank you. I’m so happy to hear that your Thai constellation was saved and I that I give you hope and confidence.
The owner Hyams is a joke .Nasty old guy. They will not take shrubs and plants back even with a receipt and under 30 days. Old guy cares only for $$.Brownswood nursery way better
I got one from my local Walmart a couple months ago and it’s been slowly declining while trying to unfurl a beautiful new leaf. 😔 it seems like it simultaneously has wet and dry rot. I’m not sure what to do to save it which really bums me out cuz $40 is still $40 and it’s such a pretty variegated plant!
@@plantheartbeatsyes. And I treated it with hydrogen peroxide and removed the rot twice. I used the imperial monstera soil mix from RepotMe. It was expensive and my PPP seems to dislike the philodendron mix from them also. 🤔
