There going to be congested. You can still get around fine. Stay away from playground at night if you don’t wanna get stuck in a spot for a while but that’s the spot to be to watch people tear there stuff up. Lol
Thumbs UP! I gave all the fishing videos a thumbs up. The pike fishing at Walpole island looks awesome! Sweet boat and motor setup too... Daisy rocks also - lol Can you go into finer detail about the rod, reel, and line setup combo used for these Northern's please? You caught a bunch on this setup and it looked super solid and reliable. I would like to get something comparable to use on a boat or even shore fishing off the boardwalks in Port Huron, Marysville, Algonac, Marine City, and St Clair. I live about 25 minutes west of St Clair and I'm going to put some time in fishing from the shores and boardwalks, while I also looking for a basic/affordable boat setup too. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and hitting the 👍. I use a ST.Croix 6’6’’ MED-HEAVY ROD with a Shimano, Calcutta, 100 I use 12 lb Stren fishing line with a 20lb Steelon wire-wound leader made by Berkley I just started using that leader last year because I was losing some fish thinking I wouldn’t catch as much using a leader but it didn’t affect the bite. I didn’t lose any fish last year. That is awesome Rod, and real combo. The real is a little pricey so if you can’t afford it, don’t be afraid to try a different brand of bait caster. And you probably think 12 pound is not heavy enough but as long as you know how to work your drag it is I’ve caught 47 inch musky’s on 12 pound line. Any more questions hit me up. Thanks for liking the video. I’m getting ready to go up there next week. I never did make any videos from last year. They’re still on my laptop.Lol. Very time-consuming editing.
@@redneckoutdooradventures4537 Thanks for the info! Please expand on how to work the drag properly. I looked for an email on your homepage and didn't see one. I didn't think you wanted a bunch of questions in your comments. I'm also interested in your thoughts of a round bait castor reel vs the newer low profile stuff. I personally like the round reels because they look cool, but to each their own...
@@wheelspin1000 you can find me on Facebook if you have it. Brock Burden my e.mail is brockburden@yahoo.com. I don’t mind commenting on here either. I like the round real for bigger fish. I have really big hands so easy to hold on to. I do have low profile reals also. Everything I use is made by Shimano. I think their quality is very good. Bantam Curado CU-200 is a really nice real also. It’s made by Shimano. I use it for plastics. As far as setting your drag, do you want it tight at first but not so tight you’re going to break the line so you get a good Hookset. Then, if you have a really big fish on, do you want to loosen it up a little bit once you know you have a good hook set so you don’t break your line. Let that fish pull your drag till you wear it out.
That group has not announced anything for this summer yet. It’s sounds like there not going to be doing RU-vid anymore you can go to there channel and ask
His hand is broken so he was driving Honda Talon because of it drove the can-am too. He still has it I believe. This video is from last summer. I took a break from editing. Hope you enjoy my channel and hit that 👍and subscribe. Turn your notifications on also.
I don’t remember how much that radiator holds. It took over a gallon if I remember right. The pump for the inner cooler is a separate coolant system from the radiator and motor. So I didn’t have to add anything to that intercooler pump. Hope this helps.
@Redneck Outdoor Adventures thats quite a bit more than I though. That's good to know, it doesn't really say how much. I'll wing it. I just put both on, hopefully the small intercooler takes much less. I'll add small amounts. Thank you that did help!
@@briankent1922 My driveline was upgraded before turbo. Rhino drive shaft and Carrier bearing. Front diff I have HD Extreme amateur plate and there tru lock harness. Super atv sprague. I also welded my hubs in diff together. Motor was built due to rod bearing failure. All Polaris junk. Lol. Carrillo rods cp pistons closed deck cylinder and HD valve springs.
Devil's Backbone ATV Resort is easily the nicest place I have ever been to. Place is clean, very affordable and the people are fantastic. Great location, too - right on the trail.
My kit coming in on fedex tomorrow. What psi did you blow the first motor? And their site says it comes with a basic clutch kit is that true? When your motor blew did it show any signs of happening or noise or was it all of a sudden a window was installed in the block haha
Well I did have some issues. Boondocker was using what they called a F7 turbo charger. It was there design. I had 2 turbos go bad. Waste gate was braking. They did replace both times. Now there not using that turbo anymore. I’m running a Garrett 2860 turbo and haven’t had that issue anymore. Then I blown my motor up at silver lake sand dunes last year. Rod broke and went through case. Was it because the turbo kit I don’t know. I think I had issue with motor before turbo install. One of my oil changes I had a lot of gold flakes in it Probably a rod bearing. But still ran fine and didn’t hear anything wrong with motor so I continue to run it I have seen rods broken on a NA with no turbo. There turbo models have that issue also so probably a Polaris issue. I know people that haven’t had any problems with there motors and running the Boondocker turbo kit on stock motor. since then I have built a motor with Carrillo rods and CP piston closed deck cylinder and HD valve springs. Since then it’s been great all summer no issues. I’m running 17lb of boost on 100ll. It’s 100 octane Aviation fuel. If you keep motor stock you have to keep it at 12lbs of boost on pump gas 91-93 octane. After my experience I would say just build the motor if you really looking to go fast 12lbs was ok just not like it is now. Still running stock clutch I could get more power to the ground if I purchased there riptide clutch. Just haven’t spent the money on it. That my experience with it. Sorry I took so long getting to your comment. I just be busy with other things. Any more questions fell free to ask. I’ll answer best I can. Hopefully you continue to watch my channel and hit that subscribe and like on videos. Thanks
Ya always a good time. That’s actually my old trailer you probably seen. He was leaving my RU-vid channel on tailgate for me. I have a enclosed trailer now. Hope you enjoy my channel and will subscribe. Thanks
Yes. It’s nice to enjoy the evening West Virginia has to offer. Beautiful country side. Can’t look around if you’re hitting trails fast. I do like to go fast but not all the time. Glad you enjoyed my video. Thanks for the positive comment. I really appreciate it. Have have plenty on more videos coming so please subscribe like and share. Thanks. @@WhiskeyTangoFoxtrotOffRoad nope. I just changed my secondary spring to a pebs 26 orange 125/230. Stock was black 118/190. The primary spring is still stock. It’s a white spring with red stripe on it. Not sure the spring rate on it. Whatever there using on the 16 Highlifter. You will get venom weights for your primary with the turbo kit. I’m not sure what springs 18 model uses. This set up works good for me. I just put a new belt on at 1,200 miles just to be on the safe side when I was going to be riding the sand dunes and drag racing in the sand.
@@redneckoutdooradventures4537 Awesome thanks. I mostly rock crawl and trail ride, have a huge gear reduction and big tires, but sometimes wish I had a little more power to get out of my own way lol.
@@WhiskeyTangoFoxtrotOffRoad ya. I was the same way. I also have gear reduction in low 50% what the Highlifter comes from factory. Does excellent at rock crawling. Then I can go racing also. Or just a need for speed. Hope you enjoy my RU-vid channel. Please subscribe and like 👍 the videos.
How’s the turbo kit holding up? Anything you regret? Was it worth it? Have a 1k looking to get some more power out of to turn the 32 stickies better lol. Already built my trans and front diff so it should hold..
What’s up. The kit itself is doing good. My stock motor did break a rod and went through case at silver Lake Michigan last summer. Now I did have a oil change not long after I bought the RZR used that I saw gold flakes in the oil pretty bad This was before turbo install. Motor still sounded ok so I continue to run it. So did rod break because of the flakes? Maybe. Or it broke because Polaris rods are weak. My new motor I had boondocker build it for me. Close deck cylinder CP rod’s and piston’s also did HD valve springs. This build has been good so far. I’m running 16lbs of boost on 100ll Aviation fuel. You have to stay at 12lb of boost on stock motor. And pump gas 91-93 octane. I want to up grade my turbo to a gtx so I can get more boost. Could run up to 23lbs with it because I still have stock crank. Not sure what else to say about it. Was it worth it ? I guess it was because I do like the Highlifter. Did I spend a lot. Yes. But at the end of the day it’s just money lol. All machines have there problems. Any more questions feel free to ask. Hope you enjoy my channel and will subscribe and hit that 👍 on my videos and share with your friends. Thanks
