How do you install the stone if you want the stone to go above the concrete foundation and on to the house framing? Do you need to run the furring strips up on the outside sheathing to make it even? Thanks
Real stone has a certain level of upkeep and maintenance depending on geographic and urban location. For example, real stone in the shopping district where lets say the demographic is highlow up to middle middle. Means there will be outliers of individuals who think its fun to graffiti something or (less specific) maybe a family with a toddler is shopping and walking through and toddler wobbles into the hard, real, stone and gets injured. In some applications it is deemed more effective overall to use something like this in lieu of real, natural stone.
Are u in the states with this material I’ve been thinking to add to my new showroom materials like this to have on hand for contractors what do you think
Pussy way to do a real job. Unfortunately I think the old school ways of doing jobs like this are going to disappear. How long is that going to hold with the finish nails hes stapling into it? Ive seen rock work done with mortar 120+ years old still standing. Z
this is an opinion. no one is living that long, how many poisons I mean medications are you on, along with most of the population eating high carb diets?
Few years those nails will rust out and the whole side will fall down adhesive on a house wrap won't hold do like a stucco scratch coat and adhesive fast isn't always best
@evolvestone can you provide a guide for installation over metal siding? I haven't found any resources. Purchased 10 boxes of monument gate winter valley for same application as this video.
Curious, whats going to happen to this after a year outdoor, rain sliding behind it, snow, wind. those brads dont seem good enough for the long term, plus its not glued on.
Any tips/tricks when fastening the OSB/Plywood over the drywall to easily know where the studs will be so that your fastening into the framing behind the drywall?
It looks like stone lmao, what a stupid response….. Zero chance driving by or even standing next to it, that you tell the difference without touching it.
Product is super fragile and breaks easy and good luck having this company respond to you. The cost is double the amount compared to other products similar to this.
