Welcome to MV Soulmate! This is our story cruising on America’s Great Loop and further. We look forward to sharing our cruising life with our family, friends, and you on the adventure of our lives.
Love the updates! Did you guys end up actually getting your USCG Captains endorsements? I knew you had mentioned becoming an actual Captain. I’ve had mine for awhile now and the course was well worth the time and effort spent learning!! Safe travels!!
Curious how difficult would it be to convert the third State room into an office? Taking out the beds and putting a working desk! I am not normal a big fan off wood on a bot, but your Yact seem practical as it is beautiful! Thanks for the tour.
I don't think I have ever commented on a video. But this one warrants a big thumbs up! and you may have changed my mind from a Carver Voyager. Awesome job on the video and narration!! Would love to know the burn at at normal cruise per hour. Again, great job!
Lovely vessel! Do you have headroom everywhere except perhaps he engine room? Finding a boat with 6' 6" headroom must have been a challenge. I'm only a tad under 6'5" and I have a hard time finding boats without head-banger places.
Bob, I am a new subscriber (may/22) of yours and going back to your previous videos to learn as much as possible on the OA 548. Nice video on changing the oil on your Cats. Had a C12 in my Motorcoach for 11 years Cat was great. You have a nice clean engine room and glad to see you are using Cat filters. Safe travels.
Really like the OA 548 layout. We know the max boat height limit is 19.5’ for the Loop. With your OA did you have to lower the radar arch or just remove the Radar?
Thank you. No need to drop the arch! We have a Seaview hinged adapter that allows us to drop the radar and navigation light back below the arch. It two clamps and down it comes. You can see the parts here: www.hodgesmarine.com/boat-accessories/antennas-47-mounts-mounting-solutions.html?brand=481
I understand that meaningful Moment. For me it was Co-Captain bringing a 70 foot yacht back to Seattle from Cordoba Alaska. As we left Prince William Sound and turned out into that vastness of the Gulf of Alaska my Captain buddy looked at me as I sat at the helm and said....Did you ever think you would be Captaining a vessel at 60 degrees North....Well, welcome to the club my friend 😊
Beautiful boat. Thank you for allowing us the tour. A few more years to retire but looking forward to this adventure. So grateful you are allowing us to travel along with you. We are up in Lake Ontario. Hoping you might venture across to the Bahamas. We are a little nervous about that idea.
77? you say? Ours is out on that mooring field. It did some damage to the bow, and one line broke, but she didnt go anywhere. ( I have 4 separate lines going to that mooring ball)
My first time watching your awesome trip along the Great Loop down to Marco Island. Thanks for sharing and I'll have to go back and check out some of your earlier video's. Maybe I'll see your boat at the Ameilia Island at the Fernandina Marina when I come down in a few weeks.
We have paid $3.00 to $3.67 per gallon since we left last August 1st. The next time to the fuel dock will be much different. We hold 1,000 gallons and currently have 880 gallons.
Love the smooth music , it adds enjoyment to the b roll of the videos ! I wish you would put the name and artist of the songs in the description ! Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for the feedback. I lacked experience then. I used Filmora songs for music, back then, and added the two songs here now. Going forward I"m adding the music source and names to videos, starting with the latest video.
I have to say I enjoyed the first 3/4 of the video very much. Lovely characterization of the looper life and the sights of Punta Gorda. Then you did the memorial. I was very touched by the video and the music. You did a fantastic job. Thank you.
