Do you do anything that does not include fake gums?
@ROEDentalLaboratory
@ROEDentalLaboratory 27 дней назад
Hi Crystal. This is a great question - thanks for asking😁. I am unsure if you mean only in relation to full arch surgery or in general so I will answer it both ways. In the world of full arch, we are very excited to say that we have a full arch FP1 option that has no pink included (FP3 protheses have some pink, FP2 have a little pink, FP1 has no pink). This is our GuidedSMILE Natural option - www.roedentallab.com/products/chrome-guidedsmile/guided-surgery-decisions/guidedsmile-natural/. This requires very minimal bone reduction (more like light socket contouring) and the end result looks so good. As a full service dental lab we do create many other high quality products that have no gums at all but do need to take into consideration of the patients real-life soft tissue. Great example of this would be all of our crowns, our crown and bridge options, implant supported crowns etc. - www.roedentallab.com/products/fixed-restorations/ Our splints and guards options also don't have gums but definitely sit on them - www.roedentallab.com/products/splints-and-guards/ . The notable exception here is the patented miniComfort that suctions to the front set of teeth on the bottom jaw (the mandible). Our CLEARaline ortho aligners also do not involve the creation of gums. These are just a great cost-effective alternative to Invisalign for patients who cannot afford Invisalign - www.roedentallab.com/products/clearaline-ortho-aligners/ Our tissue-supported surgical guides definitely take into consideration gums in their design process but we also have bone and tooth supported guides that rely less on the gums if that is more appropriate for the patient scenario - www.roedentallab.com/products/surgical-guides/ I hope this answers your question. Thanks for asking. Come follow us on our socials and you will see the full suite of dental products we create - www.roedentallab.com .Thanks for asking.

Are 14 business days a faster solution?come on :D
@ROEDentalLaboratory
@ROEDentalLaboratory Месяц назад
Hi Ahmetkula. Great question. In the world of guided full arch surgery, where the lab is planning and manufacturing everything, 14 days is very fast. That's receiving and analyzing the records, implant planning the case, conducting the online meeting with the doctor, and, upon approval, going to manufacture with a robust QC step at the end. Some of the other guided options on the market are now quoting somewhere between 30-40 business days. Of course if you are willing to 3D print the resin components in-house then this can be significantly quicker. Quite possibly we could cut this time in half. The downside is that the doctor is now liable to ensure that all parts printed properly and stack appropriately since you are the person that printed them. The third approach is using the GuidedSMILE plugin within the RealGUIDE software. If you have mastered all of the technology required you could, hypothetically, go to surgery in as little as 4 days. That is you doing everything (plan, design & manufacture) with GuidedSMILE doing the QC step necessary to ensure your implant plan and guide design will be effective. Definitely doable for one or two surgeries but that rate of pace would be exceptionally difficult to maintain in the long run.

If your denture doesn't fit right it can flop around and irritate. The best way around this is to reline the denture with material but you have to be careful not to leave voids between the denture and the palate. By drilling small holes into the denture you make certain that there is zero chance of a void and that all land masses are captured. This gets sent back to the lab where we scan it and make a better fitting denture that fits perfectly. Hope that helps.

You dont actually explain the process of adding a tooth to the partial. All you talk about is seating and impression. He doesn't actually explain how to add it.
@ROEDentalLaboratory
@ROEDentalLaboratory 2 месяца назад
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize if the video’s explanation was insufficient. Allow us to provide a more detailed response addressing the process of adding a tooth to a flexible partial denture. The process of adding a tooth to an existing flexible partial denture typically involves the following steps: Duplicate pick-up impression: Take an impression of the patient's mouth with the flexible partial denture in place. This impression will serve as a guide for the new tooth's position and ensure proper fit. Prep area to be added to: Prepare the flexible partial denture by roughening the area where the new tooth will be added. This step helps create a better bonding surface for the new tooth. Set & Wax tooth: Select a suitable tooth that matches the color, shape, and size of the adjacent teeth. Position the tooth on the flexible partial denture using wax to hold it in place temporarily. Invest & Boil out: Invest the flexible partial denture with the waxed tooth in a dental flask. This process involves embedding the denture in a plaster-like material. Once the investment material has set, boil out the wax, leaving a space for the new tooth. Apply fusing liquid to existing flexible partial and inject: Apply a fusing liquid or bonding agent to the prepared area on the flexible partial denture. This liquid helps create a strong bond between the existing denture and the new tooth. Inject thermoplastic resin into the space left by the boiled-out wax, filling the void and securing the new tooth in place. Finish & polish: After the thermoplastic has cured, remove the flexible partial denture from the flask. Trim any excess thermoplastic, and polish the denture to create a smooth, seamless finish. By following these steps, you can effectively add a new tooth to an existing flexible partial denture, ensuring proper fit, function, and aesthetics.

This sample denture looks like it's already polished.Some how I don't think after milling out a denture it actually comes out that way or does it?To me tryins are still very important.What looks good on the model a lot of time looks very different in the mouth.
@ROEDentalLaboratory
@ROEDentalLaboratory 2 месяца назад
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the sample denture. You are correct in this model has been polished on the puck. However, I wanted to let you know that this is an Ivotion denture, which is a high-quality milled denture. Ivotion dentures are fabricated using CAD/CAM technology and specialized materials, allowing for a very precise fit based on the records. I understand your perspective that try-ins are important, as what looks good on a model can sometimes appear quite different when placed in a patient's mouth. That said, we still value the importance of patient satisfaction and conduct a final try-in to ensure that the denture meets the patient's expectations in terms of comfort, function, and appearance. If any minor adjustments are needed, we can make them at that time. We have found that Ivotion dentures provide our clients with exceptional quality, fit, and aesthetics, streamlining the denture fabrication process while delivering outstanding results.

Digital dentures are here to stay.Milled dentures to me have a lot of waste as I can pack probably 5 dentures the traditional way with the same amount of acrylic. It looks like your lab is very high tech.congrats for that.
@ROEDentalLaboratory
@ROEDentalLaboratory 2 месяца назад
@@larrystradeski8261 I agree that digital dentures are here to stay. As production processes, materials and records all get better so does the end result. There are a lot of inherent patient benefits related to digital dentures. Milled dentures though do have their place in the mix. They tend to be stronger which is really helpful for heavy clenchers/biters (or even those who are clumsy). We also still make thousands of traditional dentures every year though we have seen a very slight downward slide in popularity. Thank you on the compliment - we are very tech forward. We are constantly evaluating new dental tech as we like to meet doctors where they are in terms of their technology and proficiency.

Had my hard reline, it’s still there, just slightly less so. Sigh…

We're sorry that this has been your experience. The first step we would always recommend is being more clear in your communication with your dentist. Tell them calmly and precisely your situation and concerns. Despite you having concerns the doctor feasibly may not have picked up on them or realized how important they are to you. If this doesn't work it might be prudent to investigate an alternative dentist. This definitely should be the last resort as you choose your dentist for good reason and finding another good one can prove to be difficult. Good luck with whatever path you decide on.

Hello Ms Smith. I am assuming you are referencing surgical guides seen in this video vs Grammetry and the OptiSplint scan body. Grammetry and the OptiSplint spend only mins in the mouth and are only there to capture implant location. They themselves would have zero negative impact on any patients life. In relation to surgical guides a more nuanced answer is appropriate. Saying surgical guides ruins lives is similar to blaming cars for car accidents. Yes, to extend this metaphor, there is a chance for car mechanical failure that can lead to injury but more likely the factors for an accident would be the driver and the environmental situation. The driver in this case is the doctor. We always recommend patients to research their doctor before signing up for full arch restorations. These are complex cases and doctoral skill is vital. The environment factors here would be 1) the immediate environment - overall health of the patient, is the patient a bleeder, bone density at implant sites, etc. - and 2) the long-term environment - will the patient follow the necessary hygiene and eating instructions for the 4-6 months post-surgery healing? These are significant factors outside the control of the doctor or influence of a stackable surgical guide system. Overall research has shown that the safest form of oral surgery is stackable surgical guides - they have an implant failure rate of just over 2%, vs freehand which is closer to 6.5%. I have another question: Can I eat sub sandwiches? , burrito, nuts, salads, corn on cob, apples?

This is an important question. In general you are advised to stay away from sticky foods as they can move your dentures out of place (eg peanut butter), foods with small but stubborn pieces (eg popcorn kernels), hard foods that can damage or dislodge dentures (eg nuts, apples), and tough meats that can result in sore spots due to to much chewing and/or grinding. We always recommend you discuss all of this in deeper detail with your doctor.

is a centric tray not needed to make the bite blocks? How do you measure VDR, VDO? Thank you for sharing a great video

Thank you for the question! Bite blocks are made to specific measurements. Doctors generally add or remove wax from them to get the VDO they desire for the patient from those standard measurements. There are centric trays on the market that can be used as well.

Since you said not to use hot water, Can I drink something hot? Like hot tea or coffee? And how often do I need to clean my denture?

Great question! By "hot", we really meant boiling. Some people think if they are cleaning something they want boiling water. Hot liquids like coffee and tea are totally fine.
