Why does 'Re-Visit' have an upper-case V, and why does Birnbeck have an uppercase 'B' in Birnbeck? To me bloody irritating over-music to me, unnecessary, so voted 'Dislike'.
The days the white funnel fleet docked here to take you over to Barry or along the coast to. ultrasound ,lovely trips to ,beautiful pier ,sadly Weston super mare is a shadow of its former days and the markets gone .
@@WestonSuperMan yea it's a lovely place to fly. Send me a Pm and maybe we can hook up and fly something interesting one day. Just about to edit up Brean Down that I have just flown..
I had forgotten what a complex of buildings it once housed. A sobering thought though is that even IF, and it is a big IF, the Pier could be restored, a use would have to be found for it. That use must generate sufficient income to maintain it. Any ideas?
Well they could possibly make a nice function room on there. And have weddings and various events... Plus amusements to attract the young peaple to weston.
Yea it would be such a beautiful place to get married! The views 👌💛 the history of the pier is so amazing, I love it, praying for it to be restored ⭐️✨💙
imagine how many sweet hearts kissed on this pier, held hands, walked and talked, bringing their kids back years later, the fishermen catching dinner, all gone, what a shame,
I just read in one of the U.K news that the local council (authority) ordered the owners to repair the pier. Seems like the only way to bring it back is take everything out and using historic pictures rebuild it. Hopefully it will be saved. It would be a shame to lose it completely.
This is so sad I went hear in the early eighties with a girl who I really loved I , it was a beautiful day I have never forgotten it and always wanted to go back I'm glad I didn't.
Hi Pete, I'm writing from Blast! films, we'd be interested in using some of your footage for an upcoming BBC2 programme- please get in touch at lparkinson@blastfilms.co.uk Many thanks!
Hi Pete, spent many a Sunday mornings there, when i lived in Rhyl. there used to be a Market inside and you could go for tours around the ship. nowadays the Market is further up towards the main road. was always a running battle with the local authorities to maintain and repair the ole ship. good aerial shots of it though, such a shame they let it go to ruin. Dave
Hi Dave, yes indeed mate took this video back in 2016, forgot it was on the HD till i was looking for other things lol...have been told they have now painted the ship in black, so may be there restoring it back to glory.would be nice mate.
Beautiful place and on a cold winter morning you dont get many visitors :-) Nice to chat with you today Pete, Weather permitting I will be back tomorrow to complete the hyperlapse project.... Nice work on the video mate.
Thanks Marc, had to cut it short today a microlight decided to pay a visit quite low, so had to pull back and land, will have another go sometime. will Email you soon Bud, maybe when your ready we will give the Brean Down fort ago together...
Agree with you Anita, really is a shame to see the pier like this, personally i think it has gone to far to be rescued now.maybe that's what the owners want, so they can build expensive housing on the island,
Hi Pete, Thats what I heard the owner was doing just waiting for it to fall so he can rebuild a block of flats on it..... Great to chat with you and your fair lady today on Glastonbury Tor.
