...it does look a nice place...never been but there's a web cam there that is one i used to check out a few years back! ... i did look up the huts for sale, as you probably did and wow, you could buy a new site van for that money!... i wonder if that pizza place does do an oyster one lol ...cheers, Steve...
I'm so glad your video showed up in my recommendations. I have added Rochester to my itinerary and subscribed to your channel. Thank you, I can't wait to see more!
...enjoyed your explore, what an impressive castle! ...great vid. quality, i'm guessing dji ? ...thank you for posting, it's not easy on steps like that while having to film! ...if only everyone in that cathedral had stayed respecfully quiet like you did...cheers, Steve...
The castle looks rather precarious to negotiate, and only suited to people with far better agility than me ...not to mention the height aspect which you mentioned a few times ...a thoughtful addition to your narrative. I need my daughter to push me in my fixed axle wheelchair, so I wont be seeing Rochester Castle in person, thus your excellent coverage of it certainly makes up for my inability to explore as you did... Thank-you. (Brigid, S.E,London, UK).
@brigidsingleton1596 It can be frustrating when these places have no access . It is something I feel very strongly about and mention quite a lot in my videos. I am glad you enjoyed the tour and were able to get a glimpse of it that way at least. All the best to you.
@@sally.travels Thank-you again for sharing your excellent video. I shared it with my daughter - as she loves bookshops and reading. I've also 'Liked and Subscribed' to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your tours.
I met a guy in Hoo, near Rochester, then as he lived at 'The George Inn', in Rochester (inbetween his Merchant Seaman duties) however, after a few visits and an overnight stay with him there, I unfortunately (and unexectedly) became pregnant ...which put an end to my visits to Rochester, Kent, (and to see and stay with my - girl - friend in Hoo. Plus all possible further dalliances with any other Merchant seamen in general, (and _that one_ in particular!!) I never got to visit Rochester Castle ...back then, in 1979... This video is the first time I've seen it. Thank-you for showing me a _nicer set of images_ to remember of Rochester, than the ones I've had since 1979...🥺!! 👍🤔🏴💜🇬🇧🙂🖖
@@sally.travels Indeed...and something which has kept me from revisiting Rochester ever since ... Now my disabilities (& poor health in general) tend to prevent me from travelling anywhere, and my frequent hospital appointments are handled via pre-booked hospital transport, with me in my wheelchair, and _it_ being _clamped to the floor_ of each ambulance! Whilst I prefer being old to the alternative, now that I've reached 71 (!!)I can still recall happier, healthier times, two of which were times spent in Kent, working in Meopham, and also in Chelsfield (both in riding schools, teaching horseriding, & stable management) and in Battle, E.Sussex, in an _Airedale Terriers_ 'show & breeding' kennels, and it's attached Boarding Cattery - the latter being called 'The Battle Cat Hotel'* (...and I can tell you, we had a few odd calls from people trying to book _themselves_ a room there*!!! 😊🤭) (Plus two riding schools in London - Dulwich, S.E.21 & Lee, S.E.12) 👍🙂🏴💜🇬🇧🤭🖖🐎🐎🐎🐎🦮🐈♥️
I love Haven and considered buying but realistically need to go a lot to be cheaper to buy rather than rent. E.g. looking at 5k a year site fees, we typically go for 3 nights at weekends which is around £200 for not school holidays and £400 for school holidays for bronze so average of £300 would need to get for 3 nights more than 16 times a year to be cheaper to buy which I don't have the time time to do, only go 2 or 3 times a year usually
I had a look at that when at Haven in the summer and it's a big compromise, have to let Haven let out your caravan for half the peak time (school holidays) of the year.
We sold our van to the site owners last December it was a 38x12 3 bedrooms on suite it was better than some of these caravans central heating beautifull position with grand views over acres of country side it was 12 years old. The site owners only gave us £2500 for it site fees with virtually no amenities was £5200. So don't buy a static unless you want to say goodbye to your money, you might as well put your money in a big pile and set fire to it. Either way you will finish up with nothing.
@Trish-ql9kz You can bring one but it has to be folded up to get on. Then your child can go on your knee or a seat. I don't think there is a play area, but there is lots of space to run around and there were kids enjoying the beach. Hope that helps!
Again people not understanding it’s not an investment in a van it’s an investment in year round memories. No different to purchasing a car, it goes down in value. How much does the average family spend in 10 years on their two week holiday abroad?, 50k plus ? That’s for one holiday a year not the 20 plus breaks you get with your own van, work it out. Purchase the right van at the right price and depreciation is 2k a year, site fees just over 3k. 5k for all year round holidays.
It was really nice to watch. i enjoyed it very much. awesome job. however, one note, the audio is really quiet. i had to turn my speakers all the way up. not that this would be a big issue, just letting you know. otherwise, thank you very much for uploading.
@@sally.travelssound levels were perfect on my device. I like that it wasn’t too loud, it’s easier on the ears and went with the overall peacefulness of what you were showing.
Lovely video. What a beautiful place to visit, though i could probably never manage to get there. Thank you for your efforts to show us. And what a lovely presentation style from yourself. Keep it going. I hope your channel continues to grow and grow.
Looks good 😀 Im going there in July for 3 nights. Never been to Cleethorpes before, I’ve been to blue dolphin and primrose valley a few times before. Liked and Subscribed 👍😀
