This was a fantastic book! Reading it for the second time. On my way to a better relationship with alcohol, consistent meditation, and exercise, and empowered to become a version of what could be a better me without obsessing at it. Thank you Alexis.
I am LOVING this book. Of course, I do love words; my dad used to spend evenings reading the Dictionary. This story is about the woman’s movement, suffrage, and the words that give meaning to our culture, our history. Pip Williams has such tremendous insight!
If there is a book that helped me is Be Bold, I love this book soooo much, I can read it time and time again, without getting tired. Thank you so much Alexis I got this book from my uncles library and I just took it with no intention of reading it but I happen to read it and I was drawn to it and I couldn't stop. And I just learned you have a podcast count me in😊 Thank you again
You won't find that one on the Calliope. Great work. Truly wonderful stories. I happened across The Dictionary Of Lost Words in a charity shop. I couldn't put it down and then rushed out to get the hardback of The Bookbinder of Jericho before I could forget the details that connect them. That is one amazing, semi-fictional universe Pip's conjured up, there. Hooked.
Just finished the book. Loved it as much as Lost Words. Truly delighted to find this video. Felt like all the lost words had been found and bound and will last forever now.
I just started reading The Bookbinder and am loving it. Also finding myself so curious about the process of bookbinding, so much so that I had to pause reading to search for a video. What a treat to find this one of the author binding her own book!!! Thank you.
Hello friends. I really liked this trip. Tyler you are a very brave girl. Following Parker on his adventurous travels requires a good deal of courage. You are all amazing. Greetings from Italy.👋🤗😢
Shame to hear that Justin died recently. I am halfway through reading his book and the knowledge that he has passed makes reading his book just a bit harder. May his legacy be increased research into MND ... and a cure.
I loved The Dictionary of Lost Words. It took me on an emotional roller-coaster. And I'm now reading The Bookbinder of Jericho. Enthralling. I'm so looking forward to a meet the author evening in the next week to hear Pip Williams.
I received my copy today, I’m halfway through it. It’s very hard to put down, such a sad but inspiring read. I know the family, his uncle Kenny was a good friend of mine. A must read.
Just LOVED the book. Discovering this video of her binding a copy is the cherry on the cake. The making of a book is fascinating. Really a labour of love - referring to the days before mass production.
