I would love to get a review from you regarding how they held up to cooking and cleaning. Did the enamel stay good or did it flake or wear off? Were they easy to clean? Any other information about the use of these that you can impart? Thanks for this review. I am really interested in hearing what you have to say about this.
Hey Gwen 👋 No chipping or flaking that we've noticed. We've been washing them on a low-heat cycle in the dishwasher. Cleaning is really easy compared to some of the older pans we have. Less need for soaking in the sink, it cleans up easily with a little soap.
Mine came with a corrupt sd card out of the box. It would not boot out of the Anbernic logo. It was not a beginner friendly out of the box experience for me. I had to buy a sandisk 64g sd card. From there the nightmare of downloading the firmware from Anbernic began. This was during release so they had the firmware download all janky. It was a Google drive divided up into 10 files. The experience had me pulling my hair out. Once I figured out the files were being automatically renamed with extra numbers because of how Anbernic decided to use Google Drive and divide the download into 10 different files. It was a mess. Long story short. I love the device. Gameplay is awesome for what it is designed to do (retro emu), it’s small but not too small, screen is really nice, components are good quality, and now Anbernic has their firmware act together. Bravo! Maybe it wasn’t a complete hit right off the bat, but now it’s going to be a legend in the same category as Miyoo Mini. Once Garlic is released for it, it will take it from being an A to a A++ I’m really excited for Garlic OS. Not really liking the other cfw options, although mustard looks good for it. I’m sticking with Anbernic firmware until Garlic comes out. There’s a new firmware update on Anbernic’s website which updates RA among other things so I’ll download that one tonight and look for an improvement. 😊 If you bought one that doesn’t boot then you probably have a corrupt sd card too. The stock ones are garbage anyway. It’s only a matter of time before it fails so you might as well switch it out as soon as you get it in which case you’re not going to be a beginner anymore after you learn to format, partition, name, and flash an sd card.
I just bought this unit. There’s directions on adding the nutrients for first time use, but how often and how much do I add going forward? I didn’t see anything in my directions on that.
On the nutrient bottle it will have a dosage cap, you want to add nutrient A and nutrient B every 2 weeks when you add water back into the tank. It should be 5ml for each 1L of water, check the instructions on the side of the bottle! 👍
@@BasicsReviews thank you. I appreciate the response. That clears it up. I just wanted to be sure I didn’t kill the newly sprouted plants with another full dosage in 2 weeks.
Acinfinity has falsly advertised compatability that in turn caused property damage they used there customers as Guinne pigs and when something goes wrong they turn there backs on there customers don't advertise a product as compatible with 3rd part product if you lack the responsibility to own up to youre companys mistakes 12 months later and my grow light is still dead and all acinfinitys marketing and support teams have done are block me on every social media and brush me off shame on acinfinity and anyone who supports there scams there smart controlers kill grow lights

@@noahherbert8347 actually, vertical handhelds are even less ergonomic. My hands got used to the H in about a week and honestly its gotten pretty comfortable. But people may prefer different form factors.
Great review. I've had smaller units, but this one recently caught my eye. How robust do you feel the build materials are, and what's the pump noise like?
We were interested because we saw our neighbor's setup...it was quite elaborate, and when we asked her how much it cost, she said "about $1500 for both, and they were used." So when we ordered this one for less, we wondered if it would feel cheaper / less high quality build. I can honestly say that it works just as great as our neighbor's system, we might even have more surface to grow more food. I'm happy with the quality of the materials, we'll be using this for 5+ years. Pump noise is noticeable if you're close to it, but no louder than the sound of a refrigerator running, for example.
You didn't stir the salts into the water before calibrating. It won't be calibrated properly. Also they come pre calibrated. Mine didn't need calibrating for months after i got it. The E.C. is also calibrated a very similar way. Best to buy pre mixed E.C. calibration solution.
Going to need to get one of these - I have equipment that needs distilled water, and transporting it is *NOT* easy. (Not to mention the cost, which does add up, even if you only need a couple of gallons a month.)
@@BasicsReviews more like, “buying distilled water at a nearby store means transporting a bulky and heavy gallon jug for some miles at the least on a bicycle - and that is something I’m no longer able to do easily.”
Ah, transporting the water isn't easy, I see of course haha. Apologies! I hope you find a machine that makes those treacherous bicycle trips a distant memory 😊 have a great weekend!
It comes with peat moss soil cones that you can plant seeds in! It did not come with seeds. Our lettuce and herb seeds were purchased separately on Amazon
