The price you paid is for high quality pair of shoes in the expensive shoe shops😂 not this rubbish. Most of these shoes are poor quality and cheap designs , you shouldn't pay for them more than 500 EGP

I remember when i was in Georgia i heard really good prices suitable to me but after that i found it's high :D locals told me you can get them by more than half price but because you're a tourist I'm Egyptian and i want to tell you you can get any of that shoes around 400~700 EGP try to make a challenge with a local guy :D you will get everything with more than half of price

It's not normal for all ppl. I'm from Alexandria and i feel it's so disgusting and avoid to go these places or looking to sheep heads and all this stuff
You went to "Mansheya" the cheapest shopping place in Alexandria 😁 but be carefull of the quality because most of the products sold outside the stores are made of synthetic fibers, but in stores you can find both bad and good quality... and you are free to choose and there you can find cotton products. If you want to buy cotton socks, ask about "Cottonil". It is a store that can find everywhere in Alexandria and i think in Cairo too but am not sure
