Thanks. Once I got the plastic thing out, I cut off about 1mm of the plastic nobs which fix it inside on one side; still holds but it is now easier to slide it in and out. (Since I have to do this every couple of years.)

Hey, on the second landing, did you trim the subfloor at all to rest the second nose on there or did you just glue and nail it to the side? My second landing subfloor is flush with the riser and my concern is someone knocking it off if I just glue/nail it. Thanks!

Also use a utility knife of something not serrated.

Why not some industrial 2 sided tape vs liquid nails? Siga also makes a tape that will stick to anything.

Thanks for the video. Unfortunately Kobalt no longer sells replacement heads for this trimmer. I hate corporations that don't support their products!

Excellent job. How did you attach the 2x4 to the brick wall on the right?

You don't need to remove the spool as you can just push the line into the hole labeled "IN" and pull the line until you have equal lengths from the two holes and then wind the line in. Also the spool will hold about 14 feet of .080 line. Seven feet for each side. Almost forgot you must line up the arrow on top to push the line through properly. There are a number of videos that show how to do this properly.

I added insulation to my garage door and the spring wasn’t strong enough. I had the spring replaced for 600 extra dollars. Much cheaper than a door.

Glad I found your video because I just finished using your exact same spray gun and exact same poly and I got HORRIBLE results....so many bubbles. I used the green filter for stain with the green narrow stain tip and had the pressure setting on lowest. can you please tell me what tips and filter you used? obviously if you are happy with your results, then there must be something I'm doing wrong. thanks.

I’m wondering that too. Just curious if it’s better to use the paint or stain tip for that polycrylic.

The twisting plastic part under the trimmer is bald af within just a few trims which disables this method of cranking the line back on. Terrible design

The Rigid Diffuser is not a muffler or noise reducer, it is a filter the plugs into the blower/exhaust to prevent dust from inside the vacuum blowing back out and making your clean area dusty. Did you read what the Diffuser is for? Anyways, on a car it is a rear panel design that only job is to make your rear end look fancy or sportier in appearance. Do not completely cover or block the exhaust port, your vac will overheat, Too noisy wear ear plugs or muffs.

Good video. I have one question. My chest freezer gets an extremly hot surface on the outside during cooling the water down. Is that normal? Does your freezer has this hot temperatures too?

I attached a 2.5 inch flexible hose to mine, ran the hose away from me it reduced the noise level in the shop, I think the hose ribbing acted as a baffle to reduce noise level coming out of the hose.

It seems highly unlikely that the extra weight from the foam boards was enough to stop the opener from lifting the door. It is tru that the springs are normally adjusted such that the they support the weight of the door and should be adjusted if something happens that changes that weight. However, if the spring adjustment is off a little, it just makes the opener motor work a little harder and maybe the motor wears out a little faster. I noticed that your foam boards were getting pretty close to your door tracks and I wonder if the foam started dragging against the tracks as the door went up. Maybe that's what jammed the door. As for the reflective barrier: People are correct that if you want to keep heat out of the garage , then you want the reflective barrier facing to the outside. However: the reflective barrier won't work if it is contact with the garage door skin. There needs to be an air gap between the door skin and the reflective barrier. With the reflective barrier facing the inside of the garage it might help keep heat in just a little for the winter months. I totally agree that the garage door company you used quoted you an insanely high price to adjust your spring tension. As someone else posted: The best thing I can say is that it was the "go away" price. Meaning the small job isn't worth their time but if you're willing to pay this much we'll do it. It may also have been a way to sell you a garage door or some other service that they can make money on. Tensioning the spring is a ten minute job with zero material cost. It is true that garage door springs can be very dangerous to mess with if you don't know what you are doing. There is a LOT of energy stored in a pretensioned spring of that size. It can do great bodily harm if you release that energy the wrong way.

have you not got a smart phone? so why did you not measure the sound level with a free decibel app? Bit of a pointless video honestly which could have been useful if you gave it some thought.

A tip for reinstalling the clear waste bag is to temporarily hold the bag in place with magnets while you put the band back on.

I found out about "how to replace the battery" at the one of the Amazon reviews for K750. I purchased a Logitech K760 (blue tooth no number pad) about 10 years ago. It is still doing great and was wondering if it's possible for a battery replacement? K760 doesn't look like it has a battery slot like the K750. I love this keyboard and this model is no longer available and just ordered the K750 ( bluetooth not available) for backup.

There is no need for a frame. 1/2” or 3/4” plywood would be substantially stronger, allow for better interior, and is easily trimmed with 1x material.

Is the foam replaceable in the diffuser? I've got one and it seems like it could come apart to replace the foam, but honestly I haven't tried to pry it open in case I break it. The foam on mine is junk and don't really want to spend $20+ for another one.

Looks great! I’m going to copy your design but make it more narrow and slightly larger gap between second and third shelf. I’m going to make that a kettlebell spot. Also, you need to get some knee pads. 🙂

I used to own a Wood Shop, but retired and sold every big bench tool. My son bought a house and asked me to help restoring the kitchen cabinet, becase it will be a one time job I do not want to buy big tools again, so I was brainstorming on how to sand the new cabinet doors 90 degree edges easier with better results than holding the belt sander in my hand. I thought of this same set up but had my doubts, but your video confirms it works wonderful. Thanks a lot for showing us and keep enjoying this magnificent hobby of Woodworking !!!
