actually kumina is traditionally played with only two specific drums ...the drummers sit on the drums facing each other and the stick pattern (the katta) is played by a third musician on the body of one of the drums... the katta pattern is also played with a grater and fork and with shakers added sometimes...not one of these drums they are playing is authentic... but hey they sound good still !
