Day 29 of spreading the faith in our Lord, The Fool 🙏. Hope you two check out the trailers for Lord of The Mysteries, a chinese anime(donghua) coming out next year. The rest of the comment is a small glimpse of why you should watch it as it is one of the greatest webnovels ever written and it even joined the national library of China earlier this year with how big it is over there. With the way you like to analyze everything you will love it as the biggest charm of it is unraveling mysteries and how things work. Absolute masterpiece of a story even though the first arc is off-putting for a lot of people since it's setting up the base for the entire world with alot of informations given to us. It's going as far as setting up a real currency and political system for every countries. We got confirmation that every episode will be more than 30 minutes long with at least 12 episodes for 5 seasons confirmed which would translate to half of the book (volume 4/5 out of 8) It has one of the greatest power systems in anything I've seen/heard of and changes genres throughout time. We got more than 10 pathways each starting from sequence 9 then sequence 8 etc with each of them having different abilities and needing a ritual to go to the next level. The fun fact here is that the higher you go, the more likely you are to become insane, so people that are your teammates today will become horrible monsters tomorrow. It starts off as a mystery/horror/police thing as we follow a team of policemen tasked to destroy evil beings in their city and it expands much more into an epic/horror/historical tale that knows no bounds. The secondary characters are very memorable since we get their point of views for a while from time to time. The main character uses his cheat to act as a god and make his own cult which becomes the main cast. The antagonists are TERRIFYING and bully the others throughout the whole show (they're here since episode 1 lol) Definitely recommend reading at least the first volume before the anime comes out.
Im interested! Are you usually watching and recording these episodes in the morning, in the afternoon or in the evening. Thanks for always being real. I felt really bad, now I feel better
Tsukishima's brother was neither a fan of the club nor the cheerleading team. He was officially a member of the Karasuno volleyball club, practicing diligently every day and praying to be selected to compete. However, the club at the time had players who needed to compete more than he did, and he was not selected. That's all. Even though he was an ace in junior high school and had enough technical ability to receive a basketball goal. He was tormented by the disparity in ability at the club, and at home he didn't want his brother to look disappointed. How he must have suffered. Tsukishima, too, suffered and regretted having pushed him too hard. I can't always watch this story without crying.
10:42 In japanese, «Eren's house» sounds like «Eren Yega» - and Conny, a simple-minded person, found this hilarious even in such a dire situation. Some people call it hysteria :) And the best cure against hysteria, as some people say - to bump a person with something, like a slap into face or something like that.
"This is the episode you go to when you want the answers." This is so true, when you want to know the motivation of each character and who these characters are. It's all here.

The Karasuno team that Tsukki's older brother (Akiteru) played with was the strongest Karasuno team in their history. They were even considered a powerhouse that could compete with Shiratorizawa (current #1 team in their prefecture) at the time. It was also the team that went to Nationals with the Little Giant. Naturally, that volleyball team attracted more members than the current Karasuno team. Unfortunately for powerhouse teams, only 6 players (7 if you include the libero) can play on the court at any time. Akiteru was a member of the club (he even had the Karasuno club jacket) and was very dedicated, but comparatively, he was probably not skilled enough to be on the court and sidelines. (The number of substitute players, coaches and managers on the bench are usually limited too.) The non-regular players are relegated to other tasks in the volleyball club like participating in practices and cheering. The current Karasuno team is no longer considered a powerhouse team. They have very few members and in some ways, that is good for the current players because they can actually have more playing time. As an example, you usually need 1 setter on the court. The current Karasuno team uses Kageyama most of the time and Suga, their 2nd setter, can play sometimes. But imagine having 3 or 4 setters probably on the old Karasuno team. The 3rd or 4th setter may sadly never have any playing time on official matches at all. Not to mention that Tsukki's older brother was playing the same position as the Little Giant (wing spiker) at that time too. Granpa Coach Ukai probably used the Little Giant almost ALL the time on matches because he was exceptional. There was probably just 1 other wing spiker to sub him out or replace him when he needed to rest or something.
I watched this episode after s1 and it made no sense but after finishing the series it makes wayyyy more sense and has an unbelievable amount of foreshadowing. What I don’t understand is how the mirror man (who I presume to be eren) kind of inserted himself in this reality. I don’t really get if it’s purely symbolic or if he was actually there

I love their reaction to the realization they could use the injection. This was such a tough decision and it really makes me feel for Levi and Erwin. You can tell how deep Levi's feeling are for Erwin, Erwin's struggle and to let him rest😭, Hange's speech 😭, Eren and Mikasa 😭! It's so tough!
It took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to realise that the 'i hope you kept it on, your switch' line (paraphrased) was probably referring to a Nintendo switch, rather than light switch 😅😂 Particularly considering at least once it is Jin singing that line!
when you were talking about sentience it reminded me. i always find it funny how people cunfuse sentience and sapience “Sentient” is the ability to feel or perceive, allowing to think and experience emotions. This would necessarily include consciousness. “Sapient” is the capacity for intelligence, wisdom, and logic along with the ability to solve problems, learn, and understand. so most animals are sentient. some animals like dogs, cats, and other learning or puzzle solving animals have some level of sapience. they meant the colosal titan is sapient
Regarding which titan would be better. In hindsight 1. Collosal 2. Armored 3. Beast But with all the information they have right now 1. Armored 2. Beast 3. Collosal Possible spoilers With the beast you may get an unfortunate animal. Besides Armin would be physically weak for it. The collosal doesn't seem all that strong right now, cause they don't have much need to nuke anything, nor is the collosal the best titan for long lasting combat. With the technological knowledge they have right now the armored seems unkillable, obviously not to the outside world. The armored may rank lowest across all titans in hindsight. But if everyone was as advanced as the scouts right now, it would most likely be the strongest.
I don’t know if you already know this since you guys have already watched ahead. But the reason Tsukishima has always felt inferior to Hinata is because the person who took the Ace position in Karasuno during Akitru’s time (Tsuki’s brother) was the Little Giant. So imagine how Tsukishima felt when someone like Hinata, short but determined, came on the team the same time he did and is claiming to want to be the Ace. It gives you a different perspective when you think about it that way. Not only that, but those two playing the same position probably adds salt (which is funny because Saltyshima is the nickname the fandom gave Tsuki) to the wound. Tsukishima probably thinks he can’t beat Hinata, and usually doesn’t try to because he doesn’t want to repeat what happened to his brother to happen to him (if that makes sense). But I think a part of Tsukishima desperately still wants to compete with Hinata, to prove that he’s not his brother, even if he himself doesn’t realize it.
There are two important aspects in Tsukishima's development, on the one hand there is the search for that moment that leaves him tied to volleyball, and on the other hand the rivalry with Hinata. And I love the way this episode introduces those two things, it's all so well written that it never ceases to amaze me.
I understood all this better in the manga because Tsukki's problem wasn't so much that his brother lied to him, it was more anger with himself for always talking to him like volleyball and his position were the only thing that mattered to him, so in his eyes he made his brother lie and he regrets that, that's what he said laim to, himself, and seeing how his brother didn't acomplish anything despite his talents, sice he used to be the ace he was actually good, but here Karasuno is a powerhouse, they have too many members, and there aren't many places at the bench, many mistake it as him not being on the team but he was and he went to practice and cheered, even if he was sad. And now, Tsukki is against his own little giant that has the same position as him, before he had the mindset that there was no point and gave up, in Haikyuu they use competition as a good thing, in stead of villains you have rivals, like Nekoma, who help them even if in the court they are against each other, then Tsukki and Hinata with the same position, Oikawa and Kageyama, although not the most healthy, and of course the main one Hinata and Kageyama, one may forget at this point because you would think they see each other as just teammates and friends but they still consider the other one a rival, and that is present throughout the manga, competition is a good thing and it helps you grow
Yeah the translation isn’t accurate here It’s not “volleyball was everything to my brother, and it made him lie” it’s actually “I thought that volleyball was everything to him, and thus, I made him lie” like tsukki admired his brother too much that it ended up him putting too much pressure on his brother
OHHHHH!!! I only read the manga from what end of S3 anime on, so I missed this nuance. It's kinda frustrating that they totally changed this in the anime. A lot of people really hate on Tsukki's brother bc of this ep.
@@benlincoln7358 They adapted it really well, almost perfect, but there are some things that on the manga make more sense or add more to the characters. A really small example I like to use is in the first Nekoma match, Hinata receives Kenma's serve with his face, one would think it's because he sucks at receiving, which is true but Kenma intended to place it hard and at a speed where even if you knew how to receive it'll be difficult, I feel it adds to Kenma's skills. And there are moments like this throughout, where you can see players thought process and better understand them. I don't know why I didn't understand why they put Suga as a pinch server many times, I personally understood it in the manga because it forced me to pay attention to the fact that he has very good aim, it's shown in the anime but I still didn't get it like in the manga
@@tesshh-f3o I love the adaptation from the manga from where I picked up. I do feel I have to read the manga from the start, bc I really love these little details about Haikyuu. I think some nuances are better portrayed in an animated medium. I didn't mean to say I am dissatisfied with the adaptation. I meant frustrating bc a lot of ppl hate on Tsukki's bro after this ep. Thanks for the insight!
@@benlincoln7358 yes yes, I also looove the anime and I think is honestly an almost panel to panel adaptation, at least the first seasons, it's even better in some areas becuse tha matches are more fluid and there are small forshadowings like when Yamaguchi is amazed by the float serve for the first time but I like the extra details from the manga, and yes, one of the worst things missed is Tsukki's brother story, so not much, but still frustrating
No offense but do you guys have comprehension or eye sight issues "Wait who punched who" 25:05 and so many "who said that" "what did he say? *rewinds*" "did X person just say that" get your eyes and ears checked
Masterful episode from start to finish. Amazing moment from Levi vs Beast Titan, highlight of this is definitely Armin’s sacrifice. Honorable mention for me is that this entire series kicked off with Eren and co seeing the Colossal Titan for the first time- the one who blasted boulder sized debris to their homes and was responsible for the fall of their town, and he may not be the main and only enemy of the show but it gave closure to Eren being the one to take down the Colossal Titan with Armin’s sacrifice. That closure along with the next episodes to end this season really shifted most about the series after.
An interesting detail for me is that Berthold died the same way as Marco. Right on the way to the mouth of the titan, surrounded by those whom he considered his friends, crying and screaming in despair. A boomerang, isn't it?
I look at this episode this Way. Erwin sacrificed everyone including himself for One Titan power. Armin sacrificed himself to get both Titans. When Erwin knocks Levi's hand away, he's asking the same question as Armin. Is there people beyond the walls? Beyond that, Armin is looking to the Sea. He's looking further ahead then Erwin, and in a peaceful, hopeful future. Erwin had only known fighting, survival and death. I think Levi saw this, especially after being on the wall when Erwin gave Armin command to find Reiner. He trusted his leadership 👍 much love to you guys for making it through this episode, you finally got over the crest of the first rollercoaster of AOT. Welcome❤️
