I once read an article about roman defectors. In any late republican war there were a considerable group of deserters, who often joined the enemy and in the end faced death (as the romans always insisted that they should be returned for a cruel deadly punishment). I want to say, roman army was one cruel, bloody, men eating machine. Nice edit btw.
I hate that the world has come to violence to solve diplomatic issues rather than talking things out, I know that not everything can be peaceful but no one tries
